We had an hour to kill and needed to get out of the cold, so we came into Curry Twist to have a few appetizers and kill time. They were very understanding. We only had the vegetarian samosa and the aloo tikki - two variations...on the theme of potatoes, peas, and frying. They were both delicious, the samosa was light and flaky, the aloo very hefty and with a nice chick-pea garnish. No televisions, no loud music, just good Indian food.More

I highly recommend this place. I was worried by the reviews about the service but I’m happy I went because it was quite the opposite . The service was amazing, my water never emptied and when I needed a napkin I didn’t even need to...ask. He even came 2 more times after we had paid to see if we needed water and we were not rushed out of the restaurant. I felt like the server enjoys what he does. I’ve never had service at another restaurant this good that had the same price range. The food was also very good. I had samosas, onion bhajjia, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and lamb madras. I also liked that I was asked about how spicy I would like my food, rather than just assuming and they actually gave me the spice I asked for. I really liked the food and can’t wait to see if I will enjoy the other items on the menu.More

I have been to this restaurant several times. The food is excellent and it's always busy - although we never have to wait for a table. The restaurant is long and narrow and not very big but the decor makes sitting near the back nice...enough. Only a few tables are close to the window. The waiters are very nice and the service is just right in terms of speed. If you're not in the area - I would recommend coming to this restaurant via transit and spending some time exploring the area - Dundas Street / The Junction / and maybe a walk through some houses. If you're up for it - you can take the subway to High Park Station and walk approximately 15 minutes to the restaurant. There are some excellent ice cream parlours in the area for dessert if interested.More

Had dinner here a couple of months ago and had a lovely meal. Service was friendly and attentive and the quality of the food was up there with some of our favorite places back home in the UK. We havn't tried other curry houses in...Toronto yet so it's hard to compare it against others but we would definitely recommend it. Great value as well.More

A friend told me that if I liked Indian food I should give this place a try. My wife and I went for an early Saturday dinner. Its a vey small place in Little Malta. We ordered the daily special Goan Chicken with rice and...garlic naan. For starters we had onion cakes and samosas. All were fresh hot and spicy. The waiter asked if we wanted the food spicy or milder. We went with spicy. The service was quick, courteous and the waiters advice was useful. The place was busy and it was easy to understand why. The food was authentic North Indian and very well priced. Our dinner with tip and beer included was about $70.00. Now in Toronto that's real value. We will be back.More

The paneer twist in vegetarian option was flavourful. The paneer was not fresh. We liked the chicken tikka masala in appetizer the chicken was very tender. The roti was good. The chicken masala and the paneer twist both tasted the same. I visited this place...two years ago, the quality was good since then the quality has certainly gone down.More

Awesome Punjabi food served fresh and with courtesy. Good portion size as well. We had macchi (fish) fry from starters, which was great. The vegetarian dishes like saag (they can do without paneer if you wish) and amritsari daal (with melting butter) were wonderful as...well. It is little far from downtown, but for us, it was worth the taxi ride.More

We are visiting Toronto and loved this place. We had the saffron chicken tikka with the chicken special of the day with their garlic naan. Well worth going to.

This place is legit, in every way. Has the Indian decor, Indian staff, and absolutely awesome food. It's not a huge menu so hard to imagine any of the dishes are bad. We had the paneer veggie twist and the home style curry chicken with...the garlic naan. Just fantastic and the naan comes as one huge piece. And of course, wouldn't be a legit Indian place if the food came fast. Place wasn't busy but it took forever for our food to come, but that's classic Indian :) Service was good though.More

This is one of our favourite restaurants. The food is amazing, complex and compound flavours, just exquisite. And the staff are fabulous. Not a large place, go early if you do plan on going.

We visited Curry Twist for my wife' birthday. I chose this restaurant based on the reviews on TA. We were NOT disappointed! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The place was at capacity between the hour and a half we were there. 6:30-8. We...were also extremely happy with our choices for the meal. Saag Paneer, a green and red lintel dish, chicken masala (the special for the evening) and the Lamb Madras. W/a roti and steamed rice. All the dishes were delicious. The waiter even brought the wife a little dessert at the end for her birthday. Nice touch to end the meal. Would definitely return.More

We go to Indian restaurants a few times a month, and Curry Twist is one of our favourites. The restaurant staff is amazingly friendly and the service quick, attentive and excellent. Being a popular first-come, first-served restaurant, we usually have to wait about five to...fifteen minutes to be seated. I don’t mind the wait, as it gives me time to eat a few spoonfuls of their candy-coated and non-coated fennel seeds. I know the dish of food-dyed, sugar-coated fennel treats are meant as an after-meal digestion/gastrointestinal progress aid, breath sweetener, and palate cleanser, to be taken when exiting the restaurant. On their website, they say: “Curry Twist believes in authenticity, and serves amazing delectable dishes that will give the true taste of that rich tradition.”I agree. They have not Americanized their dishes. The food is very tasty, many with a coconut-sauce taste. The curry flavours seem different than those offered by many other Indian restaurants. One of my Indian friends classifies it as Northern Indian and Moghlai cuisine. The menu items are less than those of many other Indian restaurants. It is comprised of: six starters; eight veggie dishes; seven meat (chicken and lamb) dishes; three seafood dishes; ten sides which include pappadums, naan, garlic naan, mango chutney; and a few specials of the day. I am attaching a photo of the menu. For drinks, we usually have Kingfisher (Indian) beer and mango lassi (yogurt drink).More

We came in no reservations no problem maybe because we were there as they just opened for dinner. Lovely smiling welcoming Staff. Everything was nice including the free chapati with chutneys love it. We ordered butter chicken and samosas and it was more than enough...for two. The butter chicken is good but sweeter than expected otherwise everything is good.More

Fabulous Indian food freshly made and quickly! Best samosas I ever had! Butter chicken was full of chicken and sauce was just perfect. Garlic naan to die for..... had home style chicken curry and Dahl too and it was all absolutely delicious. When we called...to make a reservation they said we did not need one because there were lots of tables open. When we arrived there was a line up to get in! Make reservations because the place is small. Parking was not easy to get in the vicinity. We will definitely being going back! Service was very good too.More

I am not sure about them being open on Boxing Day. When we were there, it appeared to be "first come, first served".
