We had a great dinner but our waitress was less than friendly. She didn't smile once. It was busy but not insanely as we got there late. Basic menu and good portions. Decent prices too.

Office party was held there recently. The food was quite good. Really enjoyed the cozy, pub feel. Would recommend this restaurant for casual and enjoyable dining. Service was very efficient and friendly.

Popped in for a pint after work a couple times with co-workers but the service here is amazing. Only after 2 times, the bartenders remember your order, TRY to talk to you with how busy they are and always have a smile on. And NOT the fake smiles where you can see it drop as soon as they turn away.... More

Ate there on Thurs night and had such a fun time that we went back on Sat. Fish & chips and beef cottage pie were great and washed it down with Hoegarten Beer. Wait staff and patrons were friendly making for a fun night out. Convenient location right by the King subway stop on Yonge St.

Great, but very busy and noisy pub in the heart of downtown. I sat at one of two bars. Selections for on tap & bottled beer, wine and food were all good. I enjoyed a cream of asparagus soup and a lamb pot pie. Both were delicious in their own right. The presentation of the pot pie was excellent. Each... More

While looking for some lunch during a design conference, we came across the Irish Embassy. The outdoor architecture was stunning enough for us to stop, and once inside it only got better. What atmosphere! The food came lightning fast and was very good. My burger was a touch drier than I prefer but all in all was fantastic none the... More

Was in town for World Cup Hockey game. This place is an easy walk from ACC aka "The Hanger". Service was very good and the menu had something for everyone (there were 5 of us). Being a Saturday night, there was live music. A bit too loud for our ears as it did a good job of drowning out any... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
