The menu has everything you expect from a diner: burgers, eggs, sandwiches, etc. and generous bottomless coffee! The staff are friendly and professional -- no one writes down orders but they always get it right. They offer gluten-free bread and will make the potatoes gluten-free as well (no coating), which is unusual for a diner. It's also nice that they... More

Went in for lunch, had a fabulous 3 egg omelette. Service was great. Staff were really friendly and made sure there was enough space for the stroller with my newborn baby in it. Elevator access available.

We came for breakfast, and were glad we did. Great eggs benedicts, various in kind, various in size. My teenaged son scarfed down three eggs with smoked salmon and spinach, while my wife and I enjoyed single egg versions. All very tasty. Service quick and excellent. Very much an old fashioned diner interior, but in an unlikely location: upstairs on... More

A blast from the past and excellent handmade shakes. Not too easy on your wallet but considering the location you can forgive it. I always have the chicken burger which is charred and always on the dry side as a result. Then I wonder why I ordered it and leave. I recommend it.

Close to our hotel and we had really hoped for a better meal. The food was OK but served at room temperature, which did not make it inviting...especially on a wintry day.

As Yorkville continues evolving away from Carnaby Street and towards Wigmore Street, it's such a pleasure to find an honest old fashioned diner in the heart of the beast. Hidden away on the second floor of a building near the end of the Yorkville, this bastion of recognizability offers what is probably the last affordable all day breakfast menu in... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
