Came here with my best friend because we were staying across the street at the Novotel hotel. The fondue was AMAZING. I love cheese and this was perfect for me. It was so good my friend got jealous and had to order her own. It came with a big soft pretzel and a bunch of different types of pickles to... More

Average compared to other breweries and beer houses. Decor and atmosphere is definitely not as cool or trendy as some of the other places you can find. I also found service quite slow in comparison to Beir Market in square one. I found myself having to flag down our server to get another beer.

This place is great for drinks. If you're in the mood for great beer, this is the spot. The beer menu has several options from countries all over the world, including some of the best Belgian beers on tap or in bottles. I wouldn't go here solely for the food though. Standard pub options are available plus some extras (eg,... More

Now closed for renovations till May. Hopefully better attitude. More foam then liquid in the glass. Acted as though they were doing you a favour. Owned by Cara food which might explain their attitude.

A friend recommended this place and i'm glad we went. They have a ton of drink options, live music inside and a great outdoor patio. The only downside is they didn't have nachos but they did have lots of other appetizer options. They close the patio down earlier then inside so we got the boot to go inside which sucked... More

As Belgian citizen abroad, I miss my Belgian Beers. I really enjoyed the quality of the different they were offering. Even if they cost as twice as much than in my country, it was worth of it. I also took trio of poutine, great choice. A bit noisy but perfect for after work with colleagues

Great service, letting them know you are press for time is a good thing when you are heading to the theatre. Great beers, steak & frites well made. Service expedient and friendly. The building is going for reno and they are clearing the cellars ! Good deals to be had.

One of my favorite places in the city. Beer selection is great, love the beer flights which allow you to sample approx 5 beers at a great cost! Love how you can read up on each beer while you are drinking as well. Had the oysters and mussels and both were amazing. A bit on the more expensive side however... More

They have a great selection of beer. Food wise would be mediocre. Definitely would come here just for drinks only.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
