It’s my all time favourite sushi place, my to-go place. Extremely attentive service and such a gracious owner, Mike. Been frequenting this past 6 years and now it’s become my comfort food. Although this place is tiny, and we went on Saturday evening, they respected our reservation and saved a nice table for us. My friend was treating me for my birthday, and so it was great that the prices were very reasonable. We both ordered combo...plates - hers was Chicken Teriyaki with sushi, a full hand roll, and a garden salad. Mine was salmon teriyaki, sushi, sashimi, shrimp tempura and seaweed salad. Miso soup and green tea were also included. They do have a license for beer and wine. We both took home leftovers. The server was a delightful young woman, quiet, courteous and she remembered every detail of our orders. My ONLY negative comment is that we found the room overlit, as there were overhead fluorescents that should have been on a dimmer. But it was a great first visit to this place, which is a two-minute walk from the Cineplex Varsity Cinema. No Eataly for us!!More
Always the Freshest fish. The small party platter is great for two people. They make their own soya sauce and it’s low sodium. Friendly and efficient.

Ordered dinner for 2(?) and BB2 + extra stuff to go. Paid extra to subst. tuna (top of food chain in Fukushima's path) for salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meal with one minor comment wishing the sashimi was sliced thinner. Near 5/5 for food alone. HOWEVER,...because we had take out there was soooo much styrofoam. It would be great to see this establishment be more environmentally friendly and offer take out in biodegradable containers. I would def go there again but eat in and avoid extra garbage.More
Tiny place packed with flavour. Saw this tiny place a while back and thought to give it a try. I am not a sushi expert but found the food here so nicely laid out and full of flavour. Previously been known to eat mall sushi...this doesn’t compare. Amazing cuts of fish if you choose sushi or sashimi. The rolls especially have a certain pop to it. I have gone several times afterwards and always enjoy. It’s very tiny but enough seating for about 20 people. I wouldn’t say fancy restaurant but nice place to get a great meal. I think it’s family owned people are very nice. If in the area I would recommend to try out. Last few times it has been packed so it’s definitely a favourite In the area.More
The price is really good! The food is also really good! We came here for lunch before the holidays, it is quite small but warm and cozy. The server was really friendly and we were really impressed with the place.
Good service, moderate roving, good portions. The Agadashi tofu was okay. Our boat of sushi was good and plentiful. The tempura was okay but the sauce was very watered down. Cheerful basic place to eat.
They have a reasonably priced platter which is perfect to share for two people. Even though it is located on busy Bay Street it is still a nice place to sit outside in the evening and watch the city go by.
Stumbled across Avocado Sushi cause I was in the area and what an absolute gem ☺️ Excellent fresh sashimi, very generous portions and absolute value for money. They have some really good value sets for lunch as well. The owners/staff are really friendly and very...helpful, and extend a very warm welcome. Service is also quick even though lunch time does seem to get busy.More
Running around for a quick lunch break and stumbled upon this spot. Terrific sushi and service. Highly recommend and will go back when next at the campus of the University of St.Michael’s College
This is one of those under-the-radar places, that unless you know about it or are told, you just pass by. It is the BEST. It's my favourite sushi restaurant in Toronto. It's quiet, very clean, and has such a good vibe. Michael, the owner, is...an incredibly kind and caring person. And that is who I want to be making my food. The menu is simple, uncomplicated, and carries everything you want. Everything is fresh, of top quality, and wonderful. Five starts, hands down. Sushi doesn't need to be complicated or look magazine worthy. If the owner has a big heart, then you never have to worry about quality.More
This was my second time going, and the service as always been exceptionally fast and friendly. They have a few lunch specials which are priced great in my opinion, even their regular menu is priced reasonably as well. The sushi rolls were awesome. Definitely a...nice little place, with a little patio outside. Would recommend.More
This place has good quality, fresh seafood. Their sushi pizza is fantastic. The portion sizes are perfect and their roles and creative. Service is quick and very professional.
