I swear we ate for 3 hours. Not because the service was slow, but because the food kept coming and the wine flowed - all part of a set meal for our large group of 20. We were set at a long harvest style table eating delicious food served family style. Each course was a surprise...a delicious surprise, but it... More

OK. The menu was interesting and the food was very good (but pricey) and on this night, the service was slow and erratic. The restaurant is large and open so rather noisy. A cautionary note...We ordered the 'wine special' that was on the chalk board. I didn't notice if it was on the wine list as well but the price... More

Excellent dinner with wife and daughter. Wine selection was really good, and the food was excellent. We sat at the bar and had a great evening.

I lived this place for brunch. Creative menu. Great service and lo and behold...it even had great coffee. This is the down fall of so many excellent places.

Enjoyed a very enjoyable dinner with friends. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. We had a question about a drink, the bartender came right to our table to provide insight. Food was well prepared and presented. Excellent family table for large parties.

Very mediocre fare, poor wine value, indifferent service... especially if you're hungry, go somewhere else.

My husband and I opted for the chefs choices. So glad we did -every single dish was so so tasty. Service was exemplary. Was a real treat we'll be back often.

We had the chef's tasting menu and enjoyed all 4 courses. In particular, I am still obsessing over their asparagus salad. Amazing. I love West Avenue Cider and was happy to see they have a couple of options from them on the menu.

We stopped in for lunch today, with their windows open onto Queen Street and the place packed.... SO good, it was. My husband had The Big Salad, a heap of greens and goat cheese with a ham crostini. I had the burger and fried potatoes. Both really nicely done. The service was good, the food was good...a little on the... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
