Group of 4, we arrived at the end of dinner rush (8pm). We were seated quickly, service was great. If you want to add flavour to the complementary bread, ask for the cheese butter -- nice treat. Prime rib and sirloin were made to order. Side order of asparagus is enough to split for two. Cheesecake for dessert is great... More

Our server, Victoria R. Was great! We were enroute to the airport & she made sure our food arrived promptly. One in our group ordered the pistachio salmon, not knowing it came with bacon. Victoria provided another veg very quickly. Loved the food...will return!

Dismal experience and ultimately disappointing to the point of no return - goodbye KEG! The worst family dinner we've had in our neighborhood. Slow service that ends up eventually showing up only to be the wrong orders but you have no choice but to try and eat what you have been served or wait another hour. The WORST. .

My wife and I went there for a celebration, we got there early enough to have cheaper appetizers. We had the calamari and it was delicious, they didn't have any cab sov so I had the house red, my wife had a Chardonnay which she enjoyed. We both had the strip loin and both cooked to perfection. We will return... More

Stopped in for dinner with some of my wife's old friends who we haven't seen in some time. I'm starting to miss the old days of the Keg where there were some themes to the restaurants. These days it's getting a bit cookie-cutter inside. We were seated next to the fireplace and felt as though we were being roasted along... More

This is definitely not Ruth Chris, but unfortunately it's all that most of us can afford. The quality of the beef is average and the prices keep going up. My theory is that because people are not drinking like they used to, their food prices have to make up for it. Dinner for two with wine can run $100. That's... More

We arrived at the Keg and thought we would have a long wait given the time of year. I should add that we had a movie scheduled at 7:40 pm and arrived at the restaurant at 6:50. I told the hostess to advise our server (Blythe) of our need to be done by 7:30. We shared the 20 oz. Rib... More

Last night, it was good old Upper Canadian food we craved: prime rib on the rare side, garlic mashed, yorkshire pudding. And they didn't disappoint. I feel that the delay before the main course arrived was a bit lengthy, but to be fair the restaurant was humming. Their wine selection is always strong, and the service was quite good -... More

So we had several friends come from the States a few weeks ago and they wanted to go out for dinner and had heard about the Kegs we have here in Canada and there is one about a ten minute walk away from where we live so my wife and I, not wanting to be bad hosts despite having had... More

The Keg is always a great choice when you are looking for a good steak for decent price. This location has always been consistently good in terms of service. You can make reservations for large group ahead of time or just show up for a table if not too many people. They had a special menu for deserts at one... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
