This has to be one of the most inventive restaurants in Toronto. The basic ingredients are familiar but the way they are combined and executed leaves you truly appreciative of what kitchen talent really means.

The decor and ambiance is comfortable and casual. The oysters were delicious from Chesapeake Bay PEI but they only had one option of oyster, one had a large piece of shell but the truffle remoulade to top them was amazing. Paired perfectly with my extra spicey dirty ceaser that was also garnished with an oyster! The poached scallop special was... More

So this is a hard review to make - this is a really nice (small) place and the food is cooked really well and high quality - however they have gone over the top on price. $30 for 4 scallops is just way over priced. I mean they were lovely, but you can walk down the street one block and... More

Seafood tower was very good. Dozen oysters, 6 clams, one lobster, and 4 crab legs for $95. Came with the standard assortment of condiments, cocktail sauce, horseradish and a house made onion relish. A local beer of 0.5 L was $14, brown ale with lots of finishing hops, awesome. A sparkling rose was suggested to us but at $22/glass we... More

Great fresh high quality seafood. We had dinner with our son here. He had been here many times before. We ordered the following sharing plates: 1. Seafood tower 2. Squash salad 3. Lobster rolls 4. Prime rib Hache with green pepper sauce with fried eeg 5. English toffee chocolate bar All the plates were delicious!

Went on a monday for $1 oysters and they were great. The menu is very different so this restaurant may not be for everyone. I found the wine selection to be poor and for anything worthwhile very expensive. I thought it was odd that they charge for tiny cups of cocktail sauce and other toppings for oysters. It's only a... I get why restaurants go with wine lists based on consignment, no one knows the price, unless of course you have a brain and a google phone. I know I pay 2 to 3 times the markup but give me something I can reference for choice. We love our wine but couldn't find anything decent unless I wanted to spend... More

Six of us enjoyed shared plates of smoked trout and hot crab dip to start, followed by ling cod, sockeye salmon, raw tuna, donairs (memories of Pizza Corner in Halifax!) and a wonderful tomato salad. Service was friendly, low key, yet attentive. We had the cheese plate for dessert along with one order of funnel cake and one toffee crisp... More

We were looking forward to a seafood dinner and that is why we chose this restaurant. First of all, service was top notch! A younger gentleman handling the front of the house was fantastic! Friendly, smiling, obviously enjoying his job - such a pleasure! Our server was also pretty good, so kudos overall for service. As for the food itself... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
