had an awesome kale salad with salmon on the side. The salmon was perfectly cooked with the very tasty & crispy skin left on and a light parsley pesto drizzle. I will definitely be back to try something else!

I had the gusto salad with salmon and it was fantastic. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The salad was toasted in a vinaigrette dressing and it wasn't too sauced it was great. We all shared a bread basket and it was good, we wished we had ordered the large instead of the small! Two of the... More

Plan ahead and reserve if you can as this place is packed a lot. Very rustic inside and a tad loud, but good energy. Menu very Italian with a lot a great egg dishes.

Nice atmosphere at Gusto... the food and service is also spot on! I've been a couple times now and haven't had a bad experience yet. The pizzas are very good and had this steak special for lunch that was dynamite!!

Booked a group of 14 for a long evening using one of the set menus. Food was great and kept coming in good quantity. Noisy atmosphere but that was in line with the tone of the evening we wanted. Only problem we encountered was that initially our assigned waiter had difficulty keeping up with the drinks orders, but she caught... More

This restaurant is always packed. On the weekend, if you don't get there before 6pm, chances are you will be waiting for a long time to have a table. My experience yesterday was good, place is nice, staff was helpful and not pushy, and did not rush us out of the place after our meal. We ordered a pizza, which... More

This is a very lively and noisy restaurant, but the service is top notch and the food is delicious. The waiter/chef was able to make me a special dish based on dietary needs. They are located just off King Street just minutes from the CN Tower.

We had a delightful lunch at Gusto 101. We started by sharing an Arugula salad that was wonderful. I usually find Arugula to be bitter but there was no hint of bitterness in this salad. My wife had the mushroom pasta and it was excellent. The truffle cream sauce was sinfully rich. I had the shrimp pasta and it was... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
