Stopped here for lunch one day as it was the first decent place we passed whilst trawling the streets of Toronto with a toddler in tow. Didn't have high hopes but was pleasantly surprised. The clam chowder I had was delicious! The place isn't really suitable for small children because they don't have highchairs, but our toddler was fine sitting... More

This is a nice trendy restaurant with decent food. The atmosphere was great especially for watching sports. It is quite loud. The server was very friendly but it did take a little to long for the initial service. There is a nice variety of beer but again, the food was average to me. Certainly not bad but not spectacular. I... More

Seems to be a trendy location, lots of young and stylish people, not a quiet and romantic place. But whow!, the food was great, only fresh ingredients, really delicious.

My husband is a former staff from the original Earls Tin Palicevin west Vancouver so whenever we are in a city with an earls we go for nastalgia. We wen with my parents when visiting Toronto. Our meals were a slight disappointment. They have not forgot how to cook wings and they were fantastic, nhubbys burger was great. My Hunan... More

This place is all show and not much go. Beautiful venue with excellent service but this does not make up for the pretty average food. Our group of three shared eight different items so we had a broad overview of the offerings. While nothing was actively bad, not one dish stood out as being creative or particularly delicious. IMHO there... More

Too loud to hear people at our table even talk. I understand the bar could be loud with music, tv and people but this was near the back and still too loud We had a bad experience with the food, steak wasn't done right and very fatty. The server took it back and got a new one, same problem. By... More

I met several friends for dinner here on a Saturday and we all had a great time. The table was ready on time and our waitress was outstanding. The sushi special was enjoyed by three of us. I had the blackened salmon and it was delicious. In addition, we left something at the restaurant by mistake and when I went... More

My husband and I had dinner before heading to the Royal Alex Theatre, just minutes away. The staff was tremendous from greeters on. Everyone is all smiles and asking if all is going well throughout the evening. Everyone is very lovely and sincere. We had a booth, slightly raised from rest of room so we had a nice overview of dining... More

This place is well thought out and executed. Great vibe and very busy on a Thursday night. Food was nice... nothing earth shattering but tasty and filling. Would go again if there were not so many other great choices in this city!!

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
