This restaurant in the Beaches is amazingly good. Never expected to find something like that in Toronto. The place is not fancy but the food is authentic , tasty, and most importantly, unlike Indian food at either places, it is not greasy at all. I would visit this restaurant whenever I feel like Indian food. The best Indian restaurant I... More

The Rogan Josh was packed full of lip-smacking flavour with some freshly made Naan bread for dipping. We also ordered a Biryani with prawns - Best ever!!! I can't wait to go back!!!

Went for lunch here with my Mom - she had been raving about how good it was when she went with a friend. We ordered the Lamb Saag because she had it the first time and said it was excellent. It was! Not overly spiced, it was a generous serving and the dish was not cheap on meat (for $8.99... More

For me the taste of butter chicken was good but the amount of food is not enough! I believe that there's many Indian restaurants in Toronto better than this!

Everything was flavourful and fresh. My daughter and I shared a Tandoori chicken dish, with a Paneer Butter Masala, Naan and Mango Lassi. And my favourite, Gulab Jamun, for dessert. Excellent and fast service. Lovely table setting with real cloth napkins. Excellent value for the price in a great location on Queen Street East. A City gem!

The inside is a little disheartening and the customer service is nothing laudable but if you can look past that (really isn't that bad), you'll get delicious Indian food in return at a fair price.

My husband and I ate dinner here on our recent trip to Toronto. We ordered two different lamb dishes which were delicious. Each contained generous portions of lamb, more than we usually experience. Service was also excellent. I will certainly eat here again.

Absolutely delicious Indian cuisine. The nan bread was perfect, The Aloo Tikkies super. Along with the starter we enjoyed the Butter Chicken and Lamb Roganjosh. I can't wait to go back again soon, very soon.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
