The best fries are deep fried in peanut oil. This is one of the few places that still use it. The fries are full of flavour and delicious! My favorite place when I get a hankering.

Very tasty burger. Nice having free peanuts while you wait. French fries were very very good. Bags/ sacs of potato bags laying around.

The best burger in town and it's huge! The French fries they serve are abundant! Quick service plus there is a self-serve peanuts while the burgers are being cooked.

We've been to several Five Guys locations in the GTA but this one has a tendency to pump the music at HIGH volume as if it's a nightclub setting. We had to shout our orders to the cashier. The "fun" part was to play musical chairs to find a table where the music overhead doesn't project directly onto you as... More

It's a BIG burger, and you can really taste the beef. My wife loves to sit back and enjoy the free peanuts while waiting for our burgers to cook. One order of fries is enough for our family of 3, as well as one drink because of the free refills!

It doesn't matter what city I am in, if it has a Five Guys I am going to get to it before I go home. I have NEVER had a bad experience with one of these restaurants, and am always full, huge burgers and crazy amount of fries, they put a scoop of fries in the normal cup like everyone... More

To be fair, as much as I love burgers I try to limit how many I eat. Having said that, when in Toronto recently I was craving a good burger and had been told great things about five guys, as there are now some restaurants in the UK. I had a cheeseburger and little fries, my partner just a plain... More

If you want 'fast food' that isn't so fast but cooked to order. This is the place. Burgers are outstanding and they go overboard with the fries. We ended up with 3 burgers and one portion of fries between 4. Plenty to go round. Much better than the normal burger chains.

My husband and I went here before a movie and enjoyed it very much. We love the simplicity of it all, the real food simple menu. The little burger and little fries are enough for the average person. The peanuts are a nice touch while you wait.

Bun: Average, when grilled definitely enhances the taste. Burger: Decent, nothing special Toppings: Are the best part and where I reckon the hype for this place stems from. Great options of toppings for burger lovers. Price: Overrated and expensive for burger and fries.

Description
I have read great reviews for Five Guys Burgers but I have to say in my opinion their burgers are disgusting. Before the lynch mob tears down my front door, here is what I tasted there:I got their regular burger with lettuce, tomato and grilled onions, with a dash of mustard. I saw the guy "grilling" burger on a pan and pushing down on it with all his weight. The burger arrived with two patties. I hate that, because of all the grease the burgers keep in slipping out of the buns. It was disgustingly greasy, wet and all mushed up, buns were wet from all the grease and the burger was oozing grease all over to the other side of my fingers. Have I complained about the grease enough? The fries were ok but again they were overly greasy. The burger tasted like overly fatty low quality steak from a roadside diner in the middle of nowhere, and it had burnt fat smell. After two bites I threw away the entire thing, fries and all. That thing cost me almost 14 dollars and the only thing I enjoyed was the drink because it washed away the taste of Five Guys burger.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
