soooooooooooooooo overhyped. portions small & pork extremely greasy and kind of bland. i've made better porchetta at home using cuts of meat from NO-FRILLS & FRESHCO and have had waaaaaaay better sandwiches of all types, not just porchetta. hopefully this porchetta trend will ride out soon...much like the pulled pork craze. NOT WORTH IT!

I stopped on the way home last night and picked up some incredible porchetta sandwiches for the family, plus a couple of sides. This was my second time taking out from this restaurant and the sandwich was as good this time as it was the first. The restaurant is below street level and I love the industrial look on the... Wow what a great sandwich at a great price. We had the porchetta sandwich each and spilt an order of fries. Great sandwich and really good fries. The sourdough buns are excellent. I wish I had tried the coleslaw, well I will have to go back.

We try porchetta sandwiches when available. The porchetta here is the traditional variety coming in the roll form. You have the choice of several sauces and sides. You also can get the sandwich or a plate. It was very moist and tasty. Definitely can recommend you try this one if you have a hankering for traditional porchetta.

I'm normally not a fan of porchetta because there's too much fat in the sandwiches that give it a horrible taste. But these are great in a crusty bun and some of the crackling skin that gives it some bite. There's lots of toppings to choose from but I like mine with mustard and a hint of spicy sauce. It's... A friend of mine wanted me to try this restaurant and I'm so glad she did. Specializing in Pork and crackling sandwiches on a bun, Porchetta is a master of what they do. I had the house special, which was delicious but you can build your own as well. They also had a feature sandwich which was crispy chicken with... More

In the neighbourhood of King and Brant this evening and we needed a place to grab a bite....not fancy nor expensive (not always easy in this are of the City), so the Porchetta and Co (545 King St W location- didn't come up when I searched the restaurant) seemed appropriate. This below street level restaurant, with long shared tables and... More

Walked by small by dynamite porchetta sandwich shop Two choices on the menu, a porchetta sandwich or the porchetta sandwich special. I ordered the special without mustard but attended rappini. Sandwiches are made to order and you can look upon freshly cooked roasts while you wait. Small sit down tables but I got my sandwich to go. My only regret... More

Porchetta and Co. is one of the best places in Toronto to get a porchetta sandwich! It's perfect for takeout, just grab a sandwich and a side of rapini and go. It's fast, family friendly, and delicious. The crackling on the porchetta is excellent. This place is recommended to all.

My brother had been waiting to try this place since he saw it featured on Anthony Bourdain (24 hours in Toronto). After a busy day visiting the Kensington Market, we decided to walk over to Porchetta's on Dundas for a mid-day snack. They have a limited menu, but what they have is absolute heaven in terms of quality food. Upon... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
