So glad we found this place (we were attending a meeting at the Hilton next door and snagged an Open table reservation slot last minute). We've had a few disappointing meals in Toronto lately so this was a pleasant surprise. Everything was JUST FANTASTIC! Had octopus and meatballs for starters (they also comp'ed us the fried cheese because our cocktails... More

The food was good although a tad pricy. Nice presentation. Reasonable portion size. Nice venue - the old Mediterra Restaurant. The reason for the average rating was everything else which should be the easiest to fix: 1) Different servers were doing different things which I think may be the root cause of the lack on continuity; 2) Our wine was... No need to head to the Danforth for good Greek Food. Centrally located in the financial district of downtown it is airy and if seated near the kitchen you can watch them work. The front of the restaurant has a small but quaint bar to pull up a seat and order a meal. Our server (Danna) was knowledgeable, witty, fun... More

This was my first visit to Volos. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very warm and inviting. When we first arrived there was a miscommunication about our reservation time but they still managed to seat us in what seemed to be the best table in the house. We also mentioned that we were in a rush due to ballet tickets... More

Greek restaurant on Richmond street. I definately recommend this place. İt was full when we went at Thursday night. Better to make reservation. Everything was delicious but the surprise of the night was our waiter Brett. We had the chance to chat with him for a while and learned he is a tenor actually. We ate in different places during... If you go here you must try the Moroccan Octopus. It was tender and delicious. Wow! All our meals were very good and our server was outstanding at making suggestions. Thanks Britany.

Downtown restaurant near our hotel. We were celebrating our Anniversary, made reservations, and had an amazing evening. The staff were friendly and professional. We ordered Greek Salads, Rack of Lamb (great presentation) , shrimp saganaki (small portion) and a bottle of wine. Delicious. At the end of our meal they brought us champagne. What a lovely touch. We will be... More

Comfortable decor. Quiet and relaxing ambiance especially for a Greek venue.Little staid. Normal greek offerings with some added items.Very good food, nothing special though. OK portion sizes, nice presentation. Good wine list. Friendly, professional excellent service, more formal than most alternatives. Believe they are successful in presenting themselves as a higher end Greek restaurant. Give that and their location I... More

Choose this restaurant due to it proximity to the Canadian Opera Company and we were not disappointed. Had an early reservation which allowed for full attention from the waitress. Had a very nice greek red wine as suggested and this complimented our Saganaki and grilled calamari both of which were fantastic. Rack of lamb was delicious (often use this to... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
