Breakfast at the hotel is always tricky. The kitchen is usually far away so the food is cold, the coffee seems to be rare (for refills). So, I guess I was not diaspointed since this was the situation. Ordinary food but good, ordinary service and high hotel prices. I wish that hotels would understand that business travellers on a per... More

Ate here several times on a recent trip. Breakfast was best (have a decent buffet) but all were ok. Bar and restaurant are attached. Menu is quite basic, burgers, fries, etc. but food is plentiful and well prepared. Service was good an friendly. Nothing gourmet by any means be better than many hotel s I’ve eaten in.

First time staying at the Sheraton in downtown Toronto. We traveled VIA rail from Kingston, only way to go. The hotel is very close to Union Station an easy walk. The staff hospitality was excellent, the rooms must have be recently renovated ours was very modern, clean and tidy. The restaurant offered a wonderful buffet breakfast. There were also different... As a local, there are many hotel restaurant/bars that I visit - this is not one of them. I would never dream to come to this place to eat or drink, the only reason I would visit is to meet someone staying in the hotel. Nothing good/bad about the food - its all unremarkable and the ambiance isn't the best.... More

The Sheraton offers a lively and vibrant venue to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service is very good and attentive. Prices are what you would expect from a 5 star. for Hotel food - this was superior.

Real nice hotel with good beds. Incredibly crowded for New Year's Eve, but location is just perfect in town. Valet parking is incredibly expensive but other than that, real good hotel.

We were upgraded free when we arrived and got a large room with two queen size beds , very comfy! The staff were very helpful and the hotel itself was... More

Room service is just getting too expensive with all the fees etc, so I opted to order my salad to go. It was an extremely busy evening, and they were especially anxious to get drink orders filled. The bartender (I am so not a fan of having to order food at the bar) is a kind guy who I recognized... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
