Met with my niece, her BF and another couple before a concert at ACC. a close uber ride away from ACC. Just had appies but they were pretty good. The pretzel was great and wings pretty decent. Looked like the charcuterie board was a pretty decent size. The candied bacon was a hit for sure.

A big bar on a trendy street but we actually felt a bit let down. I dragged my wife here through the snow and we were lucky to get a table so if you want to go book in advance. The drinks were fine, service a bit random as it was so busy but the 'beer fondue' was totally bland... More

The food was not good in my opinion . I have a garlic intolerance and I asked about the dish I ordered and was assured there was no garlic . It was loaded with garlic . When attempting to send it back the waiter argued with me that it didn't have garlic . A second waiter came over and confirmed... More

Found this location while wandering the King Street West area and liked the menu displayed on the wall. Made reservations for a Monday Night (Halloween night!) and was VERY impressed with the overall service and food - so much so that we returned a 2nd time during our week visit to Toronto. This review covers the food, pics, and excellent... More

Made the mistake of visiting Biet Markt after a bluejays win, on a holiday night. The doorman told us it would be a 5 minute wait...for a pub...this, ladies in gentleman, only happens in toronto, where they try to glamorize a pub by sticking a doorman by the entrance, so we left, but the ladies wanted to go there, so... This was our first visit to the Bier Markt. I had their Bavarian Burger which was on their Oktoberfest menu. This was one of the best burgers I have ever had! Loved the warm soft pretzels and the pretzel roll. I don't drink but their beer menu was unbelievable. They have over 150 beers from all over the world. I... More

We saw the $5.00 per 14 oz. glass Octoberfest Happy Hour (4-6pm) beer specials advertised out front, but we really came for sour beer. Rodenbach Belgian Red Flanders Ale (sour beer) is hard to find....$9.51 per 12 oz. glass available here........so delicious. Today's $3.50 sliders were also tasty...otherwise a pricey menu...$17 and $25 burgers. This pub is a raised basement... More

This place was recommended to us when we were at a winery in the Niagara Escarpment on the way to Toronto. Great recommendation-we enjoyed our meals! We started with a wheat beer flight-6 very big glasses for $22. They were all pretty good-even the dark one that I doubted I would like-but I did very much! We then each ordered... More

Came here after dinner for some drinks with a friend. Nice atmosphere and tons of different beer to choose from. They also have beer flights with good sized samples (pretty sure the whole thing was over 20oz).

Thank Ryan T

We only cook from scratch, making sure every dish is expertly crafted to complement the perfect Bier. We also have more than 150 Biers from over 30 countries, calling us Bier enthusiasts is an understatement. We respect the brew, and that means great food to go along with it.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
