We ate here in Dec 2016, and we would definitely return. My brother has the calamari to start with and I had the watermelon salad. Both were very yummy! For entrees, I had the chicken and my brother had the tuna (see pics). We enjoyed both. We did find the service a wee bit slow but the restaurant was also... More

I’m really glad that we tried the Leek Tart as an appetizer! It was really good! It was not assembled like a traditional ‘tart’. There were two pieces of puff pastry that sandwiched brie and cream and what tasted to be onions and cabbage. There wasn’t a lot of leek at all for this tart (unless our taste buds were... More

Had lunch here while in Toronto on a short trip. My daughter has always been a big fan of the mac and cheese. The current version of this dish is not as good as the old one made with cheddar and goat cheese with peas. It's really nothing special- a step up from KD. I had the wedge salad. Nice... More

Never been here before but quite enjoyed it. On a snowy, traffic jammed evening, I met a friend for dinner in downtown Toronto. I didn't expect to see many diners out on a night like this, but O & B was doing well - reservations recommended. I ordered the GRILLED CALAMARI & PRAWN PUTTANESCA and strongly recommend it. The service... More

Good quality restaurant with a varied menu. I had the lamb while my wife had the salmon. Both were cooked just right with nice accompaniments. Decent wine list and good service. Good choice for lunch or dinner.

Had a great lunch here with a colleague today. The restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere. We were seated quickly and the food was excellent. I had the flat iron steak which exceeded my expectations and the service was good. Would happily come back when visiting Toronto again.

We had a great dinner this past Saturday night. We made reservations prior as we were not sure how busy the restaurant was. We arrived at seven and there we tables, but by 715 the restaurant was full. The service was great and the food was excellent. I had the seared duck breast, and my wife had the spaghetti. Both... I really enjoyed the Pork Tacos and Caesar Salad and my guest enjoyed the Mac and Cheese, however her green side salad was exceptionally spicy (after bite with lots of heat) and was not enjoyed at all and she could not eat it--even the server was surprised that it was spicy --should not have been and he did not deduct... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
