Yuzu No Hana is a really nice Japanese restaurant. I for whatever reason fully expected it to be loud and filled with trendy (read: annoying) people, but it was actually a fairly small, cozy and low key place, which I loved. Service was friendly and efficient. My wife and I ordered the Yuzu dinner (which, per the restaurant website, consists... More

Great, great restaurant! I first met Bruce Bo, YUZU's owner, about 10 years ago at his much smaller (also excellent) Japengo restaurant near City Hall. Since then, when in Toronto, I always try to enjoy at least one meal at Japengo, but almost always end up dining instead at his larger YUZU, located in Toronto's entertainment district, (which is closer... Great Fresh tasting Sushi. They didn't offer your traditional red dragon, green dragon type rolls however that's what I liked about it. They had different rolls that you won't find at the traditional sushi restaurants. Chiefs specials were great and would recommend. Only reason why I didn't give it a 5 was due to the slow service. I'm sure they... More

Good quality Sashimi - they also offer imported pieces directly from the famous Tokyo Tsukuji fish market. The price on the other hand is quite high - but you get what you paid for.

My husband and I are from Manhattan and came to Toronto for a getaway. We initially were going somewhere else but they were so busy so we saw Yuzu- it was great sushi. Definitely recommend the lobster roll. Service was a little slow at first but we overall thought it was a clean, good place.

We got to enjoy Yuzu on a recent trip to Toronto. My wife was craving some seafood / sushi so we decided to give this place a try, based upon some online recommendation. We were not disappointed. The food here was amazing. Everything was fresh, well flavored, and artfully crafted. We started with the asari sakamushi (manila clam in a... More

During a Thursday lunch service, we were the first patrons to enter and sat at the sushi bar. My wife and I immensely enjoyed the dishes and experience. We especially enjoyed the soft shell crab hand roll which we couldn't resist not ordering another one at the end of our meal. I took the 16pcs sushi omakase which was worth... More

This is one of those great Japanese restaurants with fresh tasty sashimi. We are very demanding when we eat sashimi, we don't mind to pay for freshness. The fresh taste was awesome. Besides fresh taste, they took heart in the presentation of every single dish! The service was fantastic! Hope you enjoy the pictures we posted.

Went with my fiance and were both extremely impressed with how amazingly fresh everything tasted. We got the chef's sashimi plate which was incredible. My only complaint is that it was a bit awkward at the end trying to figure out if they would come to give us the bill/we would pay at the table, or go up to the... More

All dishes were beautifully presented and tasty. Service was great, the waiter was very attentive and I am glad I ordered what he advised. Recommended!

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
