Stopped in for a few brews and some bar snacks and was not disappointed. Had a great dark beer called "Skinny dipping with friends" , which was awesome. Great atmosphere, loads of space.

8 of us went here for lunch one day. The server was great and took good care of us. They had 1 sour beer on tap which made me happy. I had the chicken avocado club. It was really good. We all made it back to our meeting within 90 minutes. Would definitely go again when I'm in Toronto.

Wife and I went to the Moose before a Jays game. Great bar food-had lettuce wraps, nachos and wings and a pitcher of beer. All were great. Much cheaper to have a few here then the rip off Rogers center

We visited as a group of 4, us in our 50s and our mums in their late 70s. We nearly walked away as they could only offer us high seats on high benches - all the lower seating was set up for large groups. We stayed and had a lovely meal with great service, but the seating wasn't ideal. All... More

We were in Toronto this weekend, and decided to try this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great. I had a mac and cheese grilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries, very very good, my daughters had the roasted chicken tacos and chicken bites which were also very good, husband had the sausage plate which he liked. I... More

Located near Union Station & walking distance to the Rogers Centre. Excellent pub food, great staff, reasonably priced pre-game place to hang out with other Blue Jay's fans. The Mac& Cheese sandwich on sour dough & the pea-meal bacon on a pretzel bun very very tasty. Great atmosphere, worth stopping by either before or after the game.

Upon arrival we ordered Sangrita's and were told they were out. No apology nothing she just said, "We are out, you are going to have to order something else." The waiter wasn't chatty or too friendly. She asked us how we were doing but didn't smile or say anything else. My friend ordered a beer, the waiter came back and... More

Stopped in before the game and the place was hopping. Just took on libations, but been there before for food and wasn't disappointed. It's not fine dining, but it will fill you up. And don't forget to check out the decor, it loose alright, lol!

My husband and I visited this pub after picking up a friend from MTL at Union station (proximity was at play). Since my husband and his friend are French, I suggested something Canadian and the word moose jumped out to me. We each had a kind of sandwich with fries. I had an avocado club (although there was maybe one... More

Welcome to the new Loose Moose, featuring a brand new menu and the largest draught beer selection in downtown Toronto. Since pouring our first pint in 1989, a lot has changed at The Loose Moose. And yet, so much has remained the same. Our space is different, but our address isn’t. Our business has grown, but we’re still independent. And now, even with the most draught beers downtown, we’re no beer snobs. Never have been. Never will be. After all, staying true to yourself is how you make new friends - and keep old ones. Anyone who’s stopped by The Loose Moose to unwind after work, watch the game or make a night of it will tell you the same.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
