I haven't been to Respect in years but was happy with what I returned to find. Solid Italian eats, unfettered but funky vibe and good service. The wine offerings were a nice fit and we didn't get kicked out for our boisterous laughing (just like...More

Found this authentic Italian restaurant walking around looking for a place to eat and will definitely be back next time I am here. Had a pasta seafood dish with great portions of seafood and could have made a meal on the bread. The owner Rob...More

A very popular restaurant here in Sudbury. Personally I find it a bit salty and oily (olive oil but still...) however I'm not a big salt water so don't make that your decision breaker. Real trendy and funky vibe with a cool little lounge attached...More

Came here with a large party of work colleagues. Ordered different appetizers and a couple different bottles of wine before our meal. I personally ordered a strip steak with vegetables. All were excellent. The place was a little loud and made conversations a bit challenging,...More

This Restaurant is highly touted for it's food but the atmosphere and decor are equally intriguing. A Wednesday night dinner and the place (expansive) was 3/4 full with a boisterous and animated clientele. The servers were hopping; the service just as crisp. When not engaged...More

So this is downtown which is not my favorite part of town. Restaurant is decorated differently but fine. Appetizer quail was very good. Salmon was good but oddly pair with home fries style potatoes over beans and broccoli over. Angus steak was okay but little...More

Great atmosphere, great food- their Caesar salad is amazing, and their pizzas are absolutely delicious. My favourite though is their pastas. You simply cannot go wrong. Great for date nights, may be a bit loud for children, though we often see some kids there.

Reserved this hole for a retirement gathering - what a disappointment. The food was horrible, my pasta had large uncrushed pepercorns (I asked for no pepper!) the prices were very high and the food was served luke warm at best and had no taste other...More

Hi There - Sorry to hear about your bad experience however...your review raises an eyebrow. We do NOT ever use uncrushed peppercorns anywhere in our kitchens. Never have in our 17 year history. Are you certain you were at Respect is Burning Kitchen and Bar??...More

Had been to RIB years ago and was disappointed to hear that they had a fire when I returned and wanted to take my wife to the little gem I had found. Finally made it back to Sudbury recently and was excited to find that...More

Excellent Italian and Italian kissed cooking culled from the owners' family archives and travel jaunts recreated as a well worn, well-loved and heavily textured vintage tavern/trattoria experience where heavy upcyling targets informed and shaped this one-of-a-kind design that's both ancient and modern, edgy and sexy all at once. Curated eclectic soundtrack to accompany an old school sworn menu replete with vintage Italian tavern and home cooked rustic flavours - fresh traditional pastas of Roman, Umbrian and Tuscan tradition, a quality grill offering of top notch beef, lamb, veal, quail, chicken, fish and pork. Part of the historic zone's Durham Social - a multi-chambered emporium housing several intimate and highly popular concepts, keeping company currently with Red Fang Tavern, Durham Hall and the Roma '71 Bar. An awesome and unique find in a Northern Ontario city's downtown!
