I stopped for take out pho. Broth doesn't taste anything. Beef doesn't taste anything. one piece of onion 2 pieces of green onion. A lot of sprouts and a tiny bit of thai basil. So anything that could have given some taste to this broth was missing. Won't go again.

Always like to go to Pho May for a chicken pho or chicken and noodle soup when I am feeling under the weather. Makes a miserable cold tolerable.

My wife and I tried this place and found the pho was on the bland side with not much flavour. My rice and chicken dish was equally uninviting.. Atmosphere a little dingy as well, needs a face lift and fresher food.

We can't stop coming here. It's in the little plaza by the Winners at the corner of St. Laurent and Donald. We have the M7 every time. So good. Grilled pork and wontons in chicken broth. Not licensed but that's ok. Makes for a cheaper bill at the end. And great prices. Must try!

Still in my pursuit of a good pho place in Ottawa. I've been driving past Pho May for a few months, but it always looked so empty. Finally tried it last month; the place was empty when we came in around Lunch time. For appetizers, we ordered some fried spring rolls. They tasted alright (ie, all all the proper ingredients),... The pho is good and at a reasonable price. The restaurant is not fancy but we found it very clean and their food is yummy! Easy access.

Little mom and pop restaurant located in a strip mall corner of Donald & St-Laurent. Great spicy pho usually served by the owner while his wife cooks. Fresh & tasty food.

A great variety of delicious Vietnamese dishes at Pho May. My personal favourite is number 'B16' which is the warm vermicelli noodles combo, with various meats, lettuce, fries spring rolls, etc., and then drizzled with a flavourful sauce that accompanies it. It is simply yummmmy!! The Rice Wraps with the shrimp & pork combo are fabulous, and they are extra... More

I'd give Pho May a pass if you're able to go either downtown to Bank or Elgin, or better yet to Chinatown on Somerset West. But if you're in the east end and looking for convenience, it's fine soup. Pretty good takeout, I've always been satisfied.
