The selection of old favourite goodies was wonderful. It took me back to the wonderful smells of bakeries of my youth.

The Bakery has been, as many places in the town are, very familiar. This was a place we came to often to grab something special for the kids to eat in the park or a late snack back at the hotel. Over the years the offerings have increased in price to where only the tourists can afford the luxury. The... More

This is still a nice bakery but no longer family owned. Big business owns it and although the decor is still the original historic architecture, fixtures and wood floors and the baked goods are fresh and delicious, the prices are Yorkville sky high! It's quite unaffordable for the average person. We left without spending a penny!

A constant scene on Queen Street consists of folks eating ice cream in cones, dishes, etc. Having tried several, we've settled on the Old Bakery Restaurant .A word to the wise: A curious observation is that if the server is one of the young men, one is likely to receive larger scoops than from one of the women.
