Soup of the day is wonton soup. Since a lot can go wrong with this particular dish, it’s always a good idea to ask for details. Our server knew it was “something Chinese” and very salty. Since this is a Mediterranean resto, seems wise to...order something else. Grilled calamari looks promising, as does a mixed green salad with mushrooms, seeds, chèvre and a balsamic dressing. Well: the calamari show up chewy and room temperature and the salad is a watery, disappointing, mostly tasteless mess you might find in a blister pack at an airport kiosk. Our server eventually checks on us and we observe the cold calamari. “No it isn’t cold” she responds. We disagree. There is no offer to replace it. We soldier on with the salad. When the server comes to clear our plates, she asks if we want them to try again. No thank you. Our friends have finished eating and we have a place to be. Do we want a free dessert? No we have to leave. Which is why it is surprise to see that calamari still on our bill. Seriously? $38 for a terrible lunch with a clueless server and an inattentive kitchen. To be fair, our friends liked their seafood pasta, at least until the server dropped a fork on one them as she cleared the table. Fortunately, there are lots of other lovely places to eat in the area.More

We were not sure what to expect when we went to the Old Fire Hall, as the reviews were a range from one to five. But we decided to go anyway. We started with bruschetta, the toppings on each piece were full and fresh and...well presented. My wife had the fish and chips, the fish was nice and so was the batter, not too thick but well cooked. I had the Apollonia the chicken and the smoked panchetta were cooked very nice. Portion sizes were big but just left enough for a shared dessert. We chose the apple crumble cheese cake which was very nice. Prices were good. Service was also good, quick but not rushed. If I had anything negative to say it would be that I was expecting Fire hall memorabilia, but the grape vine painting on the ceiling and the wall mosaic of different coloured glass, which looked great, soon changed that.More

Four for dinner on a cold rainy miserable night, but this place was busy, which is always a good sign. Service was prompt and friendly, food quality was up a notch or two from average, and the price was very reasonable.

Really nice dinner here on the last night of our vacation. The Madagascar striploin and chicken souvlaki were great. We topped it off with crème brûlée, which was so delicious I could have had another one. The server was very informative about the history of...the building, which really was an old firehall in the early 1900s. Service was also efficient and attentive.More

Staying in NOTL, it seems you have a choice between expensive fancy restaurants in hotels and wineries or fast food places. Based on reviews here, this seemed like a good middle of the road choice. Place itself, nothing to look at. Small & basic. Menu...looks good on paper. Food itself not so good. Give it 2 TUMS, not thumbs, up as that's what I needed after I ate here. Roasted veggie salad massive size, more than enough for two. Not bad but lots of oil. I had beef tenderloin, asked for medium well. What I got was a blob of tough overcooked beef covered with mushrooms which I had great difficulty cutting. The smashed potato and veggies helped wash the beef down. My wife had chicken souvlaki. I tried a piece. Dry and charred. You would think that would kill all bacteria but my wife's gastrointestinal system has not been the same since then. Good thing there is a pharmacy near by for medicinal supplies and electrolyte powder. To us, the positive reviews of this restaurant are misleading and way off. Go somewhere else.More

Not our first time to Niagara On The Lake but first time to thus restaurant which is actually in St.David. Lovely spot mixing Greek and Italian cuisine. My wife and I shared the grilled calamari entree which is delicious. The calamari is cooked to perfection....Next we each had a pasta meal. Mine with the spicy sausage was delicious. The tomato sauce is homemade and wonderful. My wife had the seafood with a simple olive oil and white wine sauce which she loved. It was very nice to chat with the owner and this is definitely a place locals go to for dinner. We will definitely be going back as the food is great and the service is perfect.More

Stopped here with my husband after a chilly day doing the Christmas Rotary House Tour. This place was nice and toasty and welcoming. Enjoyed some beer, burger and fries and a Cobb salad. Would definitely come back.

Amazing food. We were really surprised at how great the food was. From the road it doesn’t look like much. In this case looks are deceiving. George was a great host/waiter and great to talk with. We each had a French Onion soup and souvlaki. The food was hot, service excellent but….we prefer a more rich, flavourful broth in our onion soup and the tzatziki wasn’t as thick and rich as we normally get in our favourite Greek restaurant. It was...fine but nothing special enough to make us return.More

Went with my wife and daughter. Order three salads and added chicken. The salads were slightly larger than starter salad size and the chicken a couple of pieces stuck on a kabob stick. Extremely overpriced for amount of food served .... $ 80 plus gratuity....Avoid this place unless you eat like a bird and price is of no consequence.More

You did not eat here, we do not serve our added chicken on skewers and there is no way our salads could be confused with a side salad. I believe you ate at another restaurant in town that has a similar name on the strip....More
