Gorgeous, historic inn just behind the main street on Niagara-on-the-Lake offers excellent food at reasonable prices. The ''ghost'' of Captain Swayze is in residence (no, didn't meet the gent but it sure was eerie downstairs). I admit the curiousity of a resident ghost brought me...More

It’s like stepping back in time when visiting this quaint pub. We were told this pub was haunted so it peaked our interest to check it out. Staff was friendly and food was good.

Have to say, we were surprised with how nice the pub looked inside. As close to a traditional English pub as you can get here in Canada. As you walk in you feel like you have to bend over a bit to get into the...More

Stopped in at this hostelry on the suggestion of someone Helen spoke to on the flight over. Real olde worlde pub feel to the place. Low roof. Wooden beams. In fact wood everywhere. It is clearly a local for lots of people. The night we...More

I was reminded about the Olde Angel Inn recently, when in my facebook newsfeed I saw a post about their "no more plastic straws" initiative. I first want to say I think this is a fantastic idea and great to see them be pioneers in...More

They have a nice wide menu, but I almost invariably order the fish and chips (better now that they do not insist on including peas). Lamb is especially good, but fish and is our reason to eat there.More

Great tasting authentic English Pub food. My wife and I were sent there by our B&B hosts after we requested a reasonably priced, well portioned restaurant. They said that this restaurant would definitely meet our expectations and they were spot on! In fact the food...More
