I frequent this place a lot. Basically everytime I go downtown. An excellent tap selection and great pub food if you're peckish or right starving. Live music acts every Saturday night downstairs.

This place has the real feel of a "local" where one can while away the afternoon drinking well poured pints, or catching a band in the evening.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Toucan. The food is typical pub fare but after a year in the US to have real British bangers and proper mash was simply devine. The staff were very kind and helpful and the locals were engaging. Finally we loved the music - 79s/80s rock classics! Would defiantly return. A true pub experience... More

Amazing staff, excellent service! One of the best places in town to catch a live show. Huge selection of draught beers. Great patio in the summer, in a beautiful courtyard surrounded by limestone walls. My favourite place in Kingston

So very rough around the edges. Wonderful staff. Lively locals. Musty. Old dirty. But... will still be back. Not sure 8f I would eat there.

Reasonable prices, reasonable eats, good selection of drinks and a local atmosphere. I would say the main drawback is the smell of very musty old beer that is not going anywhere anytime soon.

I always stop by the Toucan when in Kingston, its a very historical old restaurant with great food, but is rough around the edges. Very popular night spot that gets very busy on weekends and it smells accordingly. I always sit on the patio to avoid the worn interior, but I always go back. The staff are really nice and... More

We stopped in here for lunch and all I can say is it is amazing. Had the Irish Pub Club and the Steak and Blue Cheese sandwiches with fries. Fries were right out of the deep fryer and were tasty as well. Also a 1/2 pint of Guinness because what else goes great with Irish good than a icy cold... More

Catch a game, listen to good music, and drink. Food is pub food, and I have never heard any complaints. One of two guaranteed stops in Kingston for me.

Have been here plenty over the past decade when in town. It's your typical pub, great outdoor patio in an old cobble stone courtyard. It's actually one of the most haunted areas in Kingston ;). Great food deals, always something on special and that's why it's so popular with the student/grad crowd. Will always come back when in town and... More
