We walked in and the brick wall looked so nice. Placed our order no problem. Then the food came, no I mean the mediocre food. My son ordered a steak, half way through his meal he began to gag, there was a long hair in his food. Very disappointing.

A nice little restaurant, although a little hard to find, although on the main street there isn't a lot of signage. The menu is quite extensive and varied, with daily specials. Our waiter Brett was attentive and very knowledgeable, kept the glasses filled, and was prompt when it was time to leave. A bit of a wait between courses, which... More

The restaurant is conveniently located very close to the Grand Theatre. It has a pleasing romantic atmosphere, quiet music, and tables well separated and roomy, ours located directly across from the bar. Extensive menu with daily specials, when we were there Nov. 18 the special was duck, which was very good. The pasta with curry, shrimp and chicken was also... More

Enjoyed our lunch at Windmills, and the wait staff extremely friendly and helpful. Glutton free option. Excellent salad with Chicken. Excellent micro brewed beers, and a delectable lemon dessert. The restaurant has a wide range of menu items.

Went for supper...didn't realize it was homecoming weekend, so the place was packed...but still the service was great! I had the Cider crispy brussel sprouts to start...and they were delicious! Then I had the wild mushroom gnocchi...again, delicious. Others had veal milanese and the salmon special...both thought their meals were excellent! We'll be back.

The food at Windmills has been reviewed at length by other diners, and I would concur with those who found it favourable. My issue with Windmills is that, while they strive to present a clean and trendy dining room, their washrooms (or at least the women's) are deplorable. Being located downstairs is an obvious negative for their disabled customers, but... More

Thank you for your review and the positive comments on our food and menu. We also take pride in our washrooms and agree with you that it is an important element of a good restaurant. That is why we had granite counter tops, new sinks and faucets installed and a new mirror hung in our women's not that long ago.... More

We started out on a pub crawl but when we got to Windmills we decided to make it dessert instead. Everything was beautifully presented and really tasty. The waitress was cheerful and patient. I will go to this lovely place again and again and thank the staff for making such a nice evening for our family.

My daughter, granddaughters and myself enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Kingston and went for dinner at Windmills....waitstaff was wonderful and meal beyond delicious !! I'm especially in tuned to any background music and it was exceptional ... we took the time to tell the owner just how much we enjoyed it! Most people don't really hear it but I most... More

Great "longtime" place in downtown corridor. Lots of seating for large and small groups. Varied menu offering traditional and creative lunches or brunches. Service was efficient but not hurried, even when there was a line outside -- a welcome thing when you're trying to catch up with old friends. Worth checking out with friends and family alike!

Just got back from dinner. Members of our party ordered the veal, sea bream, chicken romero, and butter chicken pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much, though my husband who ordered the pasta was still hungry when he finished. The rest of us were more than full. Our server was a young girl who seemed a little nervous and new,... More
