My friend and I visited the Pilot House after seeing/hearing about it on our Haunted Walk. We liked it so much we went twice in one day! Servers were so nice and helpful and QUICK! Food was awesome! We had Halibut, smoked cod, AND perch and enjoyed it all. Batter was a little heavy for the perch - but everything... More

The owner - operator knows his taps, and has one or two local crafts, all excellent. Still more impressive: the food is terrific (e.g.. you HAVE to try their coleslaw), the ambiance quiet enough to talk, and overall feel very cozy. In fact, good place for a date.

A must if your craving fish and chips. Great food and draft beer. Tiny restaurant that makes you feel like family. Will definitely be back again and again.

VisitIng Kingston and dropped by the Pilot for first time in years. This little spot has been operating for 35 years and the great fish and chips, terrific selection of beer and friendly service, explains why. We had the haddock. Good size and very tasty. Our waitress was as good as they get and she was kind enough to lower... More

I have been there with three friends to try a typical Kingston food. The customer service was excellent, very friendly. The food was also good. There wasn't a gluten free option for fish, so I tried a chicken and chips and my friends tried fish and chips. They got a beer (which they claimed to be very good) and I... More

Not Michelin starred. This is somewhat greasy fish chips with a great selection of beer kind of place.

The Pilot House is a small pub with terrific atmosphere and very friendly service. They play great rock music but not loudly so it's a fun spot to meet up friends. The food, however, is all deep-fried and smothered in tinned gravy. I ordered a Cornish Pastie and it was greasy (as were the fries) and completely buried in gravy... More

This is the only place in town I will take Atlantic Canadians because even they will be impressed with the quality of the fish.

our family ate on the patio here in the summer after our pen tour visit. It was an average restaurant visit, the food was okay, nothing to rave about or make you want to go back for
