Really enjoyed our meal. The food was great especially the Charcuterie and the Ancho Steak. The prices were reasonable. Enjoyed very nice beer from Collective Arts Brewery. Finished with yummy dessert. The ladies enjoyed a "chocolate bar" and Ihad cheesecake. We were seated in the private room at no extra cost. That was wonderful since two of us are hearing... More

One of our Hamilton favorites, it was worth another review. Probably our fifth visit - always a winner. Such creativity and passion from the kitchen and servers who care about their food. Layers of flavor, slow cooking, unbelievable mouth feel. Foodie paradise in a venue you could only find in shabby downtown Hamilton. Unique and highly recommended. Tip: grab drinks... More

First timer, wonderful meal. Salad, Cornish Hen, boneless wings, Brent's balls, brussels and bacon, kale and sweet potatoe, chocolate ganache. Home run. Will be back. Next time perhaps more adventurous. :)

Our friends invited us to go with them to dinner at Rapscallion and I was looking forward to a good meal and nice night out. But the food was absolutely horrible. It's a shared plate idea, which I normally love but it's basically all meat dishes and they do NOT taste good and on top of that are extremely small... More

Went here for our anniversary dinner. It's a quirky place with menus written on various walls for you to peruse. It's all small plates to share. There are some really good dishes and some very odd ones too. The wine list is good though a bit expensive. The vibe is very hip and casual. The servers are all very knowledgeable.... More

This was both my friend's and my first visit to Rapscallions and we were blown away. The servers were knowledgeable, really friendly and helpful. The menu is hand written on nearby walls and windows and our server was happy to describe the dishes to us where needed. We ordered Chicken Liver Brulee, Halloumi Tikka Masala, Jambalaya St. Jacques and Duck... More

Open kitchen concept restaurant. Menu is a large chalkboard in the kitchen area and the place doesn't look very appealing but the food is excellent and very different. The menu consists of small tapa's plates to share, we ordered 5 plates after asking what some were. They came out in an order chosen by the chef. We were not rushed... More

Drove to Hamilton SPECIFICALLY to eat at Rapscallion, and we were THRILLED we did! Requested the chef to select his favourites for us, and to include the stuffed wings and bone marrow. WOW! Fell in food-love with the Chicken Liver Brulee! Charcuterie platter, Stuffed Chicken Wings, Lambda-Lambda-Lambda, Sweetbreads, Bone Marrow ... Everything so inventive and delicious. Chocolate Ganache Bar w.... More

An interesting place, kind of pub like, sort of like a little club restaurant. Not fussy or fancy but clean and comfy. Food was interesting. Little plates to share. Every plate was a hit. Had the stuffed chicken wings, cassoulet and the foie gras. My friend and I both agreed that every dish was delicious and interesting. The combination of... More

Found this gem on weekend visit to Hamilton for that city’s marathon. With its ever changing chalkboard menu, Rapscallion is Shangri-La for the foodie set. The waiter, expertly briefed on the menu, recommended the small plate approach to facilitate sharing. My 6 year old opted for the charcuterie plate, 10 year old went for the cheese tika masala, wife got... More

Hi Ben. We don't even know know where to start. Thank you *so* much for the feedback and for the kind words. We're so happy we were able to satisfy you and your family. Sincere thanks for thinking of us for your visit, and kudos to your six-year-old for diving into some charcuterie. That just makes us smile. Hope to... More
