Have no been to the Keg for a few years. Our daughter has always "raved" about, and as we had been given a Gift Card as a Birthday Gift, decided to go. I ordered the Keg Classic Top sirloin steak which came with choice of salad. The steak was cooked as I like it but was nearly as tough as shoe leather, and at $41 is way overpriced. I have had much better Top Sirloin sreaks at Texas Roadhouse in USA for $8.99 (same size). The vegetables were in short supply..3 green beans, two pieces of red pepper the size of a dollar coin and 4 mushrooms.. My wife had the oven roasted chicken , which I think was a "Cornish hen" it was so small. I did recieve the complimentary Birthday desert (minus a candle)., Sorry but for nearly $100 not up to expectations.

My husband and I dined at the Keg in Barrie recently to celebrate his birthday, and once again we were not disappointed. We had the French Onion Soup to start which is alway delicious especially when paired with the piping hot bread for the table. The Prime Rib was done to perfection and the Teriyaki Sirloin was perfect. I tried the new gnocchi vegetable medley for my side and it was good, but not great. And the Billy Miner Pie for dessert is so decadent! The highlight was actually our server Ryan D. He was polite, made great suggestions and went completely 100% out of his way to make our meal a special one. **Note to Management - Ryan D. is an incredible asset to your team!

I took my lady to the Keg for dinner, and from the time we were seated until the time we left, the whole experience was awesome. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer, our server was fabulous. We ordered our meals, and the food came rather quickly, and there wasn't any fat on our steaks, and perfect with every bite. I must say, that I would recommend this Keg to anyone around the Barrie area. This Keg used to be on Dunlop, but it has relocated on Mapleview just east of the 400 highway. I will be going back to the Keg.

Crowded...very, food is just OK, nothing outstanding, long wait( 1 hour when we where told 20 minutes), food delivery too fast, just get you in and out so they have other customers waiting, turning the tables over is the key to profits. Too expensive ( $150 for a couple with 1 simple drink each) for a mediocre experience.

1. Beer selection poor: Coors, Canadian and Heineken on tap. C'mon! 2. Waitress got the orders wrong, instead of two times Steak and 1/2 Lobster, one Steak arrived without the lobster. 3. steaks were chewy, one to the extend of being unedible. And that in a place that has "Steakhouse" in it's name. 4. Manager offered replacement steak, 3/4 through the meal, took inedible steak of the bill, apologised and disappeared. No free dessert, drink, etc. The event ruined.

My husband and I ordered two filet mignon entrees, two lobster tails, an Oscar side and a sauteed mushrooms side to share with our two young daughters. Everything was cooked beautifully, especially the steaks (rare and medium rare). The customer service was exceptional, and the takeout process was a breeze. We will definitely be ordering from The Keg Barrie again in the near future!

Pick a different Keg, this one is not anything close to the standards the company usually has. This used to be our regular spot for a good after work dinner or drinks at the bar. The last three times we’ve gone it’s been awful. The first time there was hair in my food. The second time the waitress had the lid fall off the martini shaker pouring our drinks, dumped ice all over the table and my lap, and then unbelievably used the cap that had fallen off to scoop the ice out of my martini glass and left, didn’t even offer to make me a fresh drink and left us to clean up the table. The third time the service was so slow, we even asked the waiter if he was really busy trying to figure out why our food came before our wine and he said no it was a slow night. On top of that the women’s washroom was so disgusting, no toilet paper and it looked like the washroom in a neglected dive bar, not anything close to the standards The Keg used to have. Having been in the restaurant business for years there is a tried and true saying that if the bathrooms are gross the kitchen is worse. Skip this place, lots of great restaurants in Barrie but this isn’t one of them.

We have not been to the Keg since before it moved to the new location because we had a mediocre experience the last couple times we went. We decided to give it another chance tonight and I can't say that it was any better. I'll start by saying that the service was great. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. My husband had prime rib and lobster and he was happy. I got the chicken Oscar because the last few times I've been here, my steak wasn't fantastic. So disappointing. The bernaise sauce was watery and lacked flavour. It honestly didn't taste in any way like bernaise sauce. The scallops and shrimp also lacked flavour. The one good thing on my plate was the baked potato. The prices have gone up significantly since we were there last but the food isn't worth the price you pay. There are many amazing restaurants in Barrie. I'd try one of them if I were you.

Had dinner at the Keg Barrie on the 30 th of October Waa brought to the patio which was dirty and uncomfortable. The bench seat was so low and uncomfortable. Whe I asked to be moved to the dining room, I was told it would be another 15 to 29 minutes! We ended up at a high top, still in the patio. When I ordered my dinner I said not to bring the mains too quickly after the appetizer. Our mains arrived before we had finished our appetizers. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she just brushed it off. I’m still perturbed about sitting in that patio, I wish I would have been moved to dining room.

I have never had a bad meal or service at any Keg. It's not the cheapest place to have a nice meal but the service, food and atmosphere is always great. Their steaks are a signature but the other entrées, appetizers and desserts are good too. There's a reason there's always a wait for a table. Tip: if you don't mind eating at the bar you can often skip the line, and their bartenders are always friendly and welcoming.

Went for a family birthday dinner with nine of us - so noisy due to loud music we could only talk to the person beside you, it was so dark we had to use our phones to illuminate the menu. The beer was flat and had to be returned and the next one was not much better. $50 for the prime rib classic - a mediocre baked potatoe, some grilled veg that were left on the plate, and a very poor piece of prime rib. Not sure why this place is so popular - will go elsewhere when in Barrie

I usaully get a steak when I go to the Keg and almost always enjoy my selection, However this time I thought I'd try the Prime Rib. The restaraunt I used to always get Prime Rib at has been closed for awhile and I was really wanting some, ...."Big dissappointment'. Prime Rib is one of the most tender cuts of beef, I've never been able to ruin it, and I'm not a chef.

We had a date night at the Keg Steak House in Barrie for our Anniversary and it wasn’t a great experience. The food was OK but the service was like you are seating in Tim Hortons lol we were expecting a better quality and service from such a we known restaurant. Probably won’t come back again!

We went the second week of indoor dining. Our waitress was great and this is where it ends. Our appetizer, shrimps in garlic butter, had small shrimps swimming in butter, tasteless....then we had a very ordinary caesar salad with croutons from a bag. My husband ordered a strip loin, it was tough with chewy parts. He did like his baked potato. My filet mignon was the only really good part or my dinner, tender and nicely cooked. The mushrooms were chewy and the fries probably came from a frozen bag....now that low quality coming from a supposedly fine dining restaurant. Save your money, go elsewhere.

The value for the quality of service and food that you receive at the Keg is more than reasonable. It’s not cheap, but you leave stuffed and satisfied. I had the Kansas City steak special, 18 oz (only one size), with broccoli and beets that accompany a side of your choice. A teriyaki steak and two kids meals with one pop ran $170 with tip. Our server, Deb was excellent. Though she was run ragged, she kept a good pace with bringing out the food, drink refills and the bill. For a quality meal and a treat, the Keg is solid choice in Barrie. The parking is the worst part, it’s always a packed lot with many trucks.
