I really enjoy the music here. Great bands. The food is pretty good also. The drinks are nice also. Cool atmosphere

Nice ambiance for live music and performances. Drinks and food is fine, but it's not a restaurant. The usual beer selection, some locals on tap.

Unfortunately I only visited the Seahorse once, for a Taylor Swift Tribute Night, but it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. The Tavern had a good reputation among locals.

Very disappointed with our evening at the Seahorse. We wanted to listen to live music. We were told there was a CD release party and charged a $15 cover charge to listen to the band. We watched amateur swing dancers for a while.! We didn't leave until 11:00 pm and never did hear a band!😆

They did a great job of recreating the old place in a new location. I appreciate it and you have two other places to go. It just has a great feel. I didn't eat and imagine the comments about slow food service may be apt. I just love the feel and the great tradition that has been kept alive.

We waited 1.5 hours and left without getting our food. Staff didn't seem keen to wait on us at all, it took forever to even get our order taken. We waited for ages before we were told we couldn't get one of our orders (after already not being able to get two things on the menu). We kept waiting and... More

Tried to dine at this establishment last weekend. We were unsure of whether we were meant to order food at the bar or if it was table service so we sat down. After sitting there for twenty minutes without any acknowledgment or service from staff we came to the conclusion that we should approach the bar. When we did this... More

This is a music venue, but it's a little more nicely done that your average bar. Unfortunately, it's just a few blocks out of the downtown in a slightly shady area of Halifax, so you're likely not going to stumble upon this place if you're from out of town. It's spacious and attracts a younger crowd. The music, like all... More

If you're looking for a truly unique evening outing and you like being with people and listening to loud music, this is the place for you. I was in town for a conference and one of the local organizers met a group of us here. We were pleased to experience some local culture at its finest and feel like we... More

Mellow tones on Thurdsday night is an absolute blast if you like live music and dancing. It's been a staple here for a long time.
