Quaint little pub and restaurant recommended to us by the B&B we were staying at. We were not disappointed. Food was great and the atmosphere welcoming. If you like a little bit of history while you eat this is a place for you.

Henry House is a superb restaurant just a few blocks from the river. The seafood chowder is among the best that I have ever tasted. A pleasant relaxed atmosphere made it all the more enjoyable.

Food was good . Had the seafood chowder and it was delicious. My husband has the Cornish pasty which was very good. We got there early (just opened) so service was a bit slow otherwise no complaints .

We stayed at Waverly so this choice was somwhat based on convenience. However , restaraunt stands on its own merit. Dark pub atmosphere is genuine, both our dinners were were prepared, but dessert stole the dhow. Try the spice cake, so worth it.

Such a fantastic atmosphere, great service and awesome beer list with flights. Get the mussels! It's a unique and historical building filled with good cheer.

Go to the basement. This restored house turned restaurant is a true gem. Closer to to cruise terminal than downtown, its three separate levels give the facade of different restaurants. Hand pulled beer in the basement takes you back centuries. Their seafood chowder tops the...More

If you want really good pub food in an English setting, go to Henry House. While there, enjoy the BEST chowder we had on our trip, or fresh salads or entrees and, for dessert, sugar pie! A local recommended and Henry House exceeded expectations.

Many have responded, I would just add that there is something for anyone used to pub fare anywhere in Canada, with a few local specialties.
