I stop by here every so often when I want a cuppa joe. Good value and friendly service. A tad of the more expensive side but worth the cup. Always full of office workers at coffee breaks so make sure you go early if you want a table at those times.

On a recent trip to YK I was referred to the Gourmet Cup if a coffee was on my list of needs. I dropped by at 0815 and got a latte for me and Americano for my wife. Also picked up a fresh baked biscuit. The people behind the counter were friendly and had a smile on their face. Always... More

I went in to buy some special tea for a gift. The barista asked me to wait while she finished getting coffee for those ahead of me, which I was happy to do. Then when my turn came I was totally ignored in favour of a more attractive customer. I commented, got a perfunctory `sorry`, and when I said that... More

Came by to get some loose leaf tea and decided to get a mocha while here. Not a great mocha - almost tasted like it came from a pouch of powder even though I heard the espresso machine working. The small mocha was $4.50. I got a selection of loose leaf teas and they were pretty good.

OK this review is skewed - the quality of the coffee / food is great. The service is good and the regulars are fun. That said I paid almost $4 for a cup of coffee to go. REally? Great quality but not worth the price.

Great coffee and fresh home-style sandwiches, soups and salads. Whether it is takeout, or eat in, I am always happy with the service and product. From the ordinary (tuna sandwich) to more adventurous (my favourite, the chipotle chicken wrap), there is a good selection, including a huge variety of teas and herbal infusions. Service is casual and friendly. More than... More

I walked into the Gourmet Cup by accident, but happy to think that I might find a good cup of coffee in Yellowknife. Indeed I did, but I discovered more. I was soon sippong very cup of dark roasted coffee, and also not just the usual sugar and sweateners, but honey, which is my preferred option. But as I walked... More

It is relaxing for my wife and I when we find a place that serves a good or better coffee. This place fits the bill with great Americanos and green tea thingies my wife drinks scalding hot plus they have very interesting and healthy food choices as well. What more could you want.

Finally, a place in Yellowknife that serves good coffee! We've (unfortunately) been subject to lots of bitter, burnt, horrible coffee at hotels and restaurants in this city. Gourmet Cup had decent roasts that my colleague could drink black, much to her delight. They made a pretty decent latte as well. Its hidden in the basement of the YK Centre, at... More
