Definitely a must visit place for a lunch. Can get it to-go, or find a seat in the quirky dining area. Very popular with the locals, often line-ups. Very good food at reasonable prices. Had live music at lunch on a weekday. Awesome!

The Rocket Cafe receives very good reviews locally....I think it is okay. By St. John's standards it is probably pretty good, but I am not from St. John's. The stuff that is good (in my opinion): - the wraps - particularly the blackbean burrito - the raisin buns - the bread pudding cake What is okay: - the cinnamon rolls... More

They have a decent French press coffee and God baked treats. Friendly service. And efficient. Went for morning coffee.

Cafe was recommended by a couple people for lunch. Large venue with carnivore and herbivore options but most items were pre-made. Choose falafel wrap and was pleased they were baked not fried but they were super bland. No spice or flavor at all. Wrap was very fresh but inside was boring. My husband had the chicken burrito and it had... More

The Rocket Bakery is about much more than food, even though that is wonderful - pastries and deli food are wonderful. The staff are very friendly as well as the owners who give the lead. It has become a community centre thanks to their openness to the arts community. Whenever I drop in I meet so many people I know... More

I went to the Rocket twice and would return again if I could have. The service is wonderful, the food great and the expresso coffees are just right. But what really blew my socks off was the live music at lunch time on Tuesdays. Musicians drop by on Tuesdays, starting around 12:30 and jam for about an hour. It is... More

The Rocket Bakery and Coffee Shop is one of many coffee shops in downtown St. John's. What makes this particular shop different is that it also makes its own bread and baked goods which you can eat in or take with you. My wife also advises me that they have very good lattes there as well.

Awesome place. The layout was somewhat confusing and it was extremely busy(noon). The atmosphere was like a coffee shop but more interesting. The sweets were wonderful and the choices outstanding. Some people had chosen to have full meals which looked really tasty.

I've been here many many times, the coffee is OK if you like super fruity and acidic light roast coffee(which I do not) they have a wide variety of these coffees. And as a bakery I would have to say that this place is second class at best, however that being said, it is good or better than any other... More
