Saw a few comments about the coffee and thought I would clarify. Apparently Coffee Matters does not roast their coffee in house and, if I am not mistaken, I believe they are supplied by Jumping Bean coffee so if you don't like Jumping Bean you probably won't like Coffee Matters' coffee either. In contrast the hot chocolate is lovely and... More

My first time here, I had the french onion soup. It looked delightful, it tasted horrid!!! It actually tasted like sugar, so sweet it was bizarre? i almost feel like the cook maybe accidentally added sugar instead of salt? its meant to be savoury, it tasted like white sugar. Tried the macadamia nut cookie it was yummy. The spot is... More

Hi QueenBee896, Thank you for your visit and for your review - we appreciate your feedback. Sorry to hear the soup wasn't up to par, it definitely sounds like the recipe was off that day as we do make all our soups from scratch and perhaps an error was made. That said, we're glad you enjoyed the rest of your... More

I do like Coffee Matters, the location is the best part, the atmosphere comes second and the coffee third. I popped in for a cappuccino at lunch and it was almost undrinkable, it tasted quite burnt. The coffee is usually good here though.

I always stop here when I'm in town. Great local coffee shop with everything you'd expect free Wi-Fi, delicious lunch menu and great coffee. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Coffee is fine, and it's great to find a spacious coffee shop where you can relax and not feel crowded. Prices are fine too; you're paying for the space, not just the food and drinks. Scones are pretty good, not the very best I've ever had but fresh and light. Lovely spot.

A great place for lunch or just a nice cup of coffee. The salads, soups and sandwiches are made fresh. The sweet selection is yummy and there is a great selection of coffee and tea to choose from.

Great coffee, delicious late lunch and relaxing atmosphere. Late night coffee with a sweet was a treat after a busy day and before retiring to our B and B. Visited is 2010. This choice is n/a on this survey form.

When I get my fill of breakfast at the Sheraton Hotel, I cross the street for a coffee and fresh pastry at Coffee Matters. Espresso drinks are great and pastry/desserts are fresh. I've had lunch a few times and it's ok, but nothing special. Free Wi-Fi so you can catch up on messages in the morning. Good vibe with view... More

There for lunch. Soup was great. The fried chicken sandwich was horrid. It was cold and looked like a cheap chicken nugget on a stale bun. On top of that it had none of the toppings of the picture. The picture looked great. What I got was more than a disappointment. I asked the person at the counter and showed... More
