Little hut on Blackcomb with standard mountain food like soup, goulash etc. Pleasant staff, who are certainly kept busy. Delicious glüwein was welcome on a cold and windy afternoon. For those desperate for the toilet, you might want to know that they only have long drop loos at Horstman's.

We made a trip to the "very top" for this food stop. "Cured meat" on the menu with nothing fresh to be offered. No soups..just chili beans. We skied down to Crystal Hut...much better!!

A bit of a climb, but a cosy place. Food fine and prices comparable to all mountain restaurants- high- as they have to transport food and staff. bathrooms undersized and not as good as elsewhere- but fine when you consider the situation. Like with all the other mountain restaurants, try going slightly before or after lunch. We tended to go... More

Great carb loading food. You'll think you are eating in the Alps with their inspired matched potatoes, pot pies and wieners

The only hut on this side of Blackcomb, this is a welcome retreat from the chilling wind that sometimes blows 7th Heaven... Nice mulled wine here, but it again gets crowded, and the bathroom (out the back) really isn't up to the volume of customers....

Considering that this is on top of a mountain it's a steal. Good food (The ghoulash was really good) with a terrific view. Nice and clean. Way better than the dining halls/cafeterias.

Nonetheless it is a great place to get warm on the hill, try going slightly before or after lunch. It is small mountain hut with plenty of atmosphere.

Went there around 11:00 for early lunch. Had corn soup, goulash with mash, hot chocolate and glüwhwin (mulled wime). Food was gluggy, too salty and tasted very processed. Bread dry and with a cardboardy texture. Hot chocolate overly sweet and out of a machine. The famous glühwein with strong, metallic aftertaste - like the metal container it was stored in... More

Amazing chicken pot pie? Yes (with mashed potatoes & gravy). Excellent soups? Yes. Vegetarian options? Yes. Friendly, awesome service? Yes. Go early. We went at 11am for lunch. No wait. After that, huge line. Seriously impressed by this mountain hut. Can't wait to go back!
