My better half and I try to get there every few months for the vegan five course meal. Incredible!! It is quite different each time and we're always blown away. It is an expensive night out (usually $150 for both of us) but well worth it. The food is so flavourful I often close my eyes to try to enhance... More

Brunch: Steak and eggs is outstanding. Recently took a friend there and she said it was the best breakfast she's ever had. It's obvious the chefs are passionate about their food.

The food here is exceptional. Great ingredients, well cooked. Nothing super fancy and doesn't need to be. From the semolina cube nibbles, to the smoked salmon appetisers and the amazing entrees it's all awesome. Great selection of wine and some cool unusual cocktails. Going through renovations in Jan 2017 but the interior and ambiance was awesome before...hopefully more of the... More

Wonderful tasting menus, both vegetarian and meat eater. Every bite was delicious. Friendly service and reasonably priced. A winner.

Olo's reputation was "Awesome Food." For the most part that was right. Every dish was great except the stripped shrimp which was ok. The squash soup was lovely. The Steak dinner was amazing. They make these small cubes of hashbrown looking potatoes that were very addictive to taste. The service level is very high. In the beginning I felt a... More

Our group of 4 dined here recently on a busy Saturday night, with mixed reviews. It was our second visit - our first with the previous business, Ulla. My husband and I found the Farm to Table food and drinks delicious, if bit pricey. We enjoyed the cocktails - Foraged and Found, herbal infused with a decent slug of alcohol,... More

We loved the local focus to everything provided at Olo, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Very fresh, local ingredients creatively presented - and this was just their brunch menu ! Definitely going back to try lunch and dinners. The service couldn't have been more genuinely welcoming and professional.

Our best meal in Victoria for value and quality. This, we are guessing, is a place on the up. It is presented as a simple cafe/diner with piles of squash and other veggies strewn casually amongst the rustic tables but the flavours are a knockout. Standouts for us included the lamb and the duck although presentationally they could both do... More

Loved this place! Very small in size but big on flavour! Don't be afraid to experiment on the drinks - they aren't!!! And the food was amazing. I had pork belly and ravioli. Both were beyond expectation. Highly recommend! Larger groups should make a reservation. We were only 2 so we were able to sit at the bar rather quickly.

Description
Relationships are forged over food at OLO - whether its friends and family enjoying a boat-to-table brunch or Executive Chef & Owner Brad Holmes finding farm-fresh ingredients from hard-working neighbours. Delicious food, laughter and good conversation are always on the menu. 'Olo' means 'hungry' in Chinook Jargon, a derivative language of English, French, Chinese and Chinook, and just like the Pacific Northwest was once a gathering place for traders, OLO is where the community comes together when hungry for more than just a meal. Serving up fresh local produce, Chef Brad is part of the Slow Food Chefs Alliance and switches up the sustainable menus depending on what's coming through the kitchen doors every day. Each dish celebrates life in B.C., using only the best ingredients available and working with amazing farmers, fishermen and foragers to provide an experience that captures the essence of Vancouver Island. Handcrafted seasonal cocktails showcase the best of Vancouver Island products and the bar program highlights the region's bounties with an impressive selection of B.C. distilleries, breweries and rare Canadian whiskeys. The thoughtfully curated wine list focuses on small-batch producers that showcase the Okanagan and Vancouver Island's best wineries, alongside premium international selections.
