We stopped in to have an early evening drink and could not leave! The band was incredible. We also got good service from the bartenders and wait staff. P.S. - I love the girls outfits!

Very nice pub atmosphere with lots of room upstairs and down. Good variety on the menu including lots of classic Irish dishes. We went with burgers and yam fries. All good! I strongly recommend the bacon and Brie burger (and a couple of beers)

When we arrived for a late lunch the downstairs was full so we were ushered upstairs. Nice atmosphere up there but it is dark whereas downstairs was nice and light. Food was good. We got a corned beef sandwich which was plenty for us to share. A pint of Smithwicks was $8.25.

Average food, more form than content, a bit cookie cutter and overpriced, but acceptable if your expectations aren't high and you're looking for a Canadian 'Irish' experience. Unfortunately however it doesn't measure up to a single pub I experienced in Ireland, has none of the home feel, and is far fuller of itself than any place there.

We both had the shepherds pie which was delicious. Only thing I thought there should of been a green salad served with it as well. Also there were no lunch specials which pubs usually have:( The staff were very friendly and efficient. The pub itself had a really nice Irish atmosphere and great decor.

We went in Friday evening. The place was heaving; got some stools at the bar and enjoyed some great beers while soaking up the live wire atmosphere. Then the band started playing their Irish tunes and it got even better. What more can you say?

The fish and chips both the Cod and Halibut were terrible. The complete meal was prepared in a deep fryer. Neither of the fish were fresh or battered before cooking. The fish was from a frozen prepared package that was pre battered and then deep fried. All 3 people returned the meals and complained. The fries were pasty , not... More

Keeping with the irish tradition they had great drinks. I mean that their local drink specials were REALLY good. I was impressed. Staff dressed the part and we had a great time. Only had drinks.

Wonderful atmosphere and great beer and whiskey selection. Food is good, all at fair prices. They've gone all in worth decor and design of the place.

Thank Jon C

Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria"s most exciting new pub!

Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square.

Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week.

The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.
