Is it too much to expect fresh taco chips? The portabello mushrooms were so-so and on a bed of limp, roughly cut lettuce. The coconut lime mussels were fantastic especially the sauce but the pastry for some of the dishes was chewy. We got the impression that this popular spot feels it can get away with serving so-so food at... More

We went there for dinner, around 6pm and the hostess told us it would be an hour wait, but we could sit at the bar. We weren't starving so we were okay with that. After and 1,5 she came and said maybe it will be another 45 minute... we saw empty tables and were suggesting solutions and she kept coming... More

First off, the bacon wrapped dates are amazing. This restaurant offered some of the best food my wife and I have eaten in a long time, and it had a really nice atmosphere and charm. I would definitely recommend a visit here if you're ever in Victoria. We had the bacon wrapped dates (twice haha), prawns in a garlic chili... More

We came here on a Sunday night and the place was full. We had a reservation and a great table in the bay window, looking into Trounce Alley. We had the potato bravas, mussels, chorizo dip and vegetarian tostada. Everything tasted fantastic and we left quite full. The music in the bar was really quite loud which made guests yell... More

Always consistent with both excellent food & service. Have eaten here many times over the years & it is never disappointing! Tapas have become more popular in North America, but this place was one of the front runners - tapas are a great way to eat & share while enjoying visiting with friends or family. I will be going back... More

I had been putting off coming back here for over 5 years as my original experience was very lacklustre- slow service and boring food. I had the best time with my friend sharing applies and drinking sangria. The service was great and the food was all very enjoyable and well priced.

Love the food, service and ambiance. The ceviche is to die for but everything is always great here. Always wonderful especially in the summer.

Went here with family. Got a bunch of tapas. Some, like the almond stuffed figs, we're amazing but others, like the cheese fondue and ceviche, we're very below average. The atmosphere was good and service was awesome bit the place was kinda cold.

While downtown celebrating a new promotion, we stopped into The Tapa Bar for a quick bite. It was quite busy so we weren't expecting to get sat right away, but we were able to get a small table close to the entrance. The Tapa Bar has a wonderful atmosphere, had great music playing and honestly, we had a great time.... More

I admit we did not have reservations, but we arrived at 5, so there was plenty of seating. This restaurant seems to think they are something special. The waitress was aloof and almost condescending. We had sangria (not like any I have ever had and not in a good way- it was bitter and weird). We ordered the seafood ceviche... More
