Just walking the streets looking for a lite bite to eat and came upon The Tapas Bar. Since we didn't have reservations we sat at the kitchen bar - what a stroke of luck. We were able to watch the chefs do their magic. They even gave us a sampling of the hot muscles (great) and the almond stuffed dates... More

I like Mexican food and this is apparently showing a Spanish twist but I didn't like any of the four tapas dishes we ordered. One friend did but two of us just basically ate but didn't enjoy.

Just in on a whim and wow was I impressed. First the service. Nothing short of first class and on their game. Appetizers were delectable and if I could pronounce the names of some of the food I would highlight them. Great atmospheric location and easy access to parking.

It's a shame, really. We were a party of seven on a Sunday night. Even the other servers said it was a quiet night. However, our server was incredibly slow. It took forever to get drinks (apparently she made them herself). Then, it took forever to order. Then, she forgot about us. Which is too bad because the food itself... More

This place is worth a visit. A bit off the beaten path but not too far. Easy to sit at the bar and have a meal. Kelly was AWESOME at the bar and I will definitely be back. Mussels cha cha cha are amazing and spicy!

I decided to go tapa-hopping and this was the third place I stopped in. The bartender was friendly enough but it was hard to hear her between the loud music and her soft voice, I had to lean in every time she said something. I found the menu not what I was really looking for but I ordered the gambas... More

I went to eat dinner by myself at the bar on a Tuesday evening. The bartender refused to serve me a glass of wine even when I showed him my drivers license. He was really aggressive in insisting that I needed two forms of GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID. The only other form of government issued photo ID I own is... More

Coconut Mussels were an absolute knockout!! Probably the best mussels we had in Victoria. Friendly service. Can't ask for much more.

We went here twice and enjoyed everything we had both times. The stuffed dates are great and pizzas were very tasty. Some dishes are more of a meal than actual tapas, but that's okay. It can get very loud inside, so its likely a better choice for more social, talkative evenings. I'd give it 5 stars but the staff never... More

Have been going here for years, but last night was the first time in about 4-5 years. The place was just hopping, and excellent service. Food was very good, but, a little time was spent on presentation. Still enjoy the place and food, and glad to see it still going after all these years!
