Salt used to be the only spot in Blood Alley. Going there used to involve stepping over a bunch of dodgy addicts and tiptoeing around used needles and garbage. I fondly recall sitting by the window with some friends after a comedy show and having...More

I admire the effort of building a restaurant in blood alley. It is not as sketchy as you think. simple room. Simple concept. I like it. Chose your charcuterie, chose your cheese and your wine. Sit back and enjoy.

Seriously the most dishonest "restaurant" I have ever been to. The charcuterie was nothing more than a few slices of whatever you can obtain from your local grocer. You can go to any corner store in Italy and find superior everything. Yes this is just...More

history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

I am not sure what wineries have tasting rooms in Vancouver, if any. Many restaurants in Vancouver do carry BC wines though and they offer many by the glass so you can try them before committing.
