Nice atmosphere, 80% "cool" asian, food is superb. If you are used to sushi this will take you to the next level.

I loved it. despite them being very busy, we were seated fast. The service is great, and the food is fantastic. We had few different things, and they were all excellent. Kobe beef is to die for. Will definitely come back. Ain't cheap, but definitely worth it.

First off, I don't love food as much as some of you. That's not to say I don't look for the best in all things (I do to a fault) but this is to say that I don't eat, dream and live for food. But this. Seriously folks. This is one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything was... More

A reservation was recommended on a weeknight at 7 - good call as it was very busy. Friendly efficient service. Many people there are return customers from the neighbourhood which is always a good sign. Menu is varied and there should be something to please all types of preferences. I was intrigued by the cooking rocks and will try that... More

4 of us went here, all for the first time each. We made a reservation for 8 pm on a Friday, it was a good thing that we did as it was packed. We had quite a few share plates, the favourites with our group were the Ebi mayo prawns, the negitoro, and the scallop sashimi, all were top end.... More

Recommended by a friend who is married to a Japanese. As real as you can get in Japan and it did not disappoint at all. A tapas place, it is better if you go in a group of 3 or more. I have been there so many times after, always trying different dishes and there has not been one that... More

With a group of 8, we had as authentic and delicious a Japanese meal as can be had in Vancouver. The only issue was how loud the other vibrant and happy diners were that filled the facility. All in our group readily voiced how they would soon return with their family and friends.

I love their stone-grill Kobe beef. It is really fresh beef, and tasty beef. Although the price for this awesome dish is also really "tasty", for about 6 slices of beef, charging $24. Service there, it really depends on how busy they are. If they are well staffed, they provide over-standard service, giving you good recommendation, checking you from time... More

Lots of great things on menu. Too bad they didn't have uni sashimi. It is hard to get a reservation but I felt the place wasn't that busy when we were there.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
