This restaurant was good. I've ate the soup of the day and was not amazed, but my friend had the bruscetta and that looked really nice and fresh, so I would recomment that rather. Then I had the prawns and scallop with vegetables and sapphran risotto. The tastes were nice, but it was not a very 'refined' Italian as I... More

A few steps off Water Street and , perhaps five minutes walk from Waterfront Station in Gastown, then down a few steps and you are in a different world. Outside it is raining and definitely chilly but down here warm and friendly with a tiled floor, clean linen table cloths andserviettes, a pizza oven, tasteful paintings (reproductions) and a Tuscan ambience.... We turned up as a group of 15 just as the kitchen was closing at 09:00pm, the owner re-opened the kitchen and served a fantastic meal, not once did we feel under pressure to hurry and all meals were excellent. It felt typically Italian and made our first night in Vancouver a pleasure. A big thank-you to the manager and... More

We have been eating at this establishment for years and has never failed us. This time around, was no different, we went to celebrate our 50th Anniversary & requested the same table where we sat 25 years ago. The atmosphere, ambiance, food, staff, etc... always on the bit. We have our favorite waiter "John" who was waited on tables there... More

The food, ambiance, waiter, wine list were all fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to couples or families looking for great Italian food and a wonderful off the beaten track restaurant

We started with an Aperol Spritz, followed by some very yummy garlic cheese bread! The carbonara was some of the best I've had outside of Italy! Loved our server too. I would go here again without hesitation! Nice wine list too

We stumbled on this restaurant very hungry and were pleasantly surprised. They have beautiful pizza and seafood specials. The staff was very accommodating with children. Great early bird special. ¡Grazie!

IN the gastown area of Vancouver you wouldn't expect such a great restaurant, great food, friendly people and all that for an absolute acceptable price!

We arrived early for dinner and were warmly welcomed & seated quickly. We enjoyed a Happy Hour glass of wine and then ordered from the long & interesting menu. Service was good and the food was quite good. We watched as other large groups ordered some other interesting dishes and other wines. Unfortunately, we were not encouraged to try anything... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
