L'Hermitage's recommendation for fine Italian dining and we were not disappointed. Lupo has revitalized a historic house creating intimate dining nooks which heighten the dining enjoyment.

My husband and I went to Lupo Restaurant in March. The service was really good. The moment we walked in someone greeted us, took our coats and brought us to our table. We were then greeted by our server almost immediately. My husband had the Fettuccine Alfredo with truffles and I had the Spaghetti Bolognese. We had a nice bottle... More

When I arrived at Lupo, the terrace house in which the restaurant was very enticing and the interior provided a warm and welcoming ambiance. The menu was large and offered a wide choice of plates. I had three courses and enjoyed each of them very much.

Great atmosphere and superb service. The food was fabulous. Not recommended for children. We were dressed up to celebrate but there were those dressed more casually. Worth the price.

The restaurant is set in a former house. Excellent service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Food was amazing with the everything (fish and beef) cooked to perfection and the homemade ravioli a taste delight.

Arrived on an evening that they were incredibly busy. Despite having reservations, people were backed up into the hallway. To us, it felt a bit too bright and a bit cramped. The atmosphere wasn't great and people had LONG waits for their food. I enjoyed my food but not enough that I would bother to return. I'm guessing we just... More

My best friend and I tried Lupo and we both loved it. The wine list is very nice, particularly the Italian classics. The menu is varied and includes many yummy sounding courses whether it be Antipasto, Pasta, Mains or Desserts. We shared beginnings of fresh pasta and tender beautifully prepared octopus. Main courses of Short Rib and Sable Fish were... More

This is definitely a keeper. We enjoyed the goat cheese antipasti for an appetizer. It was very nice. For dinner my husband had the salmon trout that was cooked to perfection. I had the lobster ravioli special. I have had lobster ravioli several times during our travels and this was by far the best I've ever had!!!! And the waiter... More

Been a while since we've been to Lupo, and it was even better than we remembered. Bit of an unusual location between downtown and Yaletown - perfect for walking to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre or Vancouver Playhouse. Wines lean towards Italian varietals, but they were able to steer us towards something that appealed to us. Lots to choose from on... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
