Purposefully looked for seafood restaurants and came across this place at English Bay. A little more than we would usually pay for lunch but it was worth it. The food is delicious and so fresh. We had the Mixed Seafood Grill and a Mixed Seafood Pasta and would recommend both. Atmosphere is relaxed inside. A great last meal in Vancouver.

Location is perfect right on the beach. Especially upstairs as the ground floor views are a little obstructed. Menu has so many great choices- mainly seafood. Staff are very friendly. Cocktail list is really fairly priced too. Bring ID if you want to drink- anyone who looks under 30 will be asked and denied with no ID. Lovely to end... More

The Sylvia Hotel recommended this place to us. We have a finicky 11yr so slightly worried but in turned out brilliant. Great location. Good kids menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the blackened Cajun fish. It could even rival the same dish at a favourite restaurant of ours in Western Australia. Would definitely go back if I was local.

After a nice bikedrive we saw this location and went write in. The waiter was very nice and the food was delicious. Four points only because the sizes of the meals where a bit too small for the price.

12 of us had a lovely meal here, the staff were warm and very welcoming, I had the mussels and they were cooked perfectly. It was a freezing cold day and it was good to be in a resturant that was warm and comfortable. We had a mix of fish lovers and fish haters and they manged to cater well... More

We went to the Boathouse as an extended family outing the week before Christmas. It was a week night, and the restaurant was quite quiet. The experience was very underwhelming from start to finish. Our waiter was not well informed about the menu - he had to check a couple of time to clarify what was in the items or... More

This was a last minute choice for us, and we are so happy we did stop in. The service is attentive and the food was served hot and was delicious.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
