Last minute booking on a single night stay in Vancouver. Long menu supplemented by lots of specials. Very French - lots of crepes, escargots , sauces. Yet chef able to adapt dishes to be gluten-free. Good advice on wine. Expensive but made a very special...More

Just an all-round great restaurant, in the French style. I've visited several times, sometimes solo, sometimes in company and have always found something different to surprise and delight. The location is convenient, the ambience great, the service efficient and obliging, and the food memorable. And...More

Best restaurant I've been lately. It's somewhat pricey, but we were also guilty for that, since we ordered even cognac this time. The food is wonderful. The staff very nice. The ambiance is well set for the restaurant style. I definitely recommend it. And... I...More

My daughter and I came here for dinner last night, upon reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. The restaurant's address is "Burrard St" but it's entrance is actually on "Smith", a bit confusing, but our driver from the Fairmont Pacific Rim knew where it...More

Short walk from our hotel and worth the stroll. It was everything Trpadvisor said it was. We were not disappointed, food was exceptional.

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along

I was at Le Crocodile recently and had an excellent experience. I am planning to return again soon and wanted to ask the regular diners here if there is anything on the menu that I absolutely need to try. On my last visit, we had the tomato avocado crab salad, the truffle pasta special to start, then the special sable fish and the dover soles for mains. Dessert was the special apple tartin and Gateau au Chocolat Moelleux. Loved it all. So if you have any other favorites or recommendations that I must try .. please let me know :)

If they have seared foie gras, go for it. I had the delicious scallops with black ink pasta. Anything is good and if you don't like it, they will fix it!
