The ambience here is very nice, but we found the food to be underwhelming. It was fine for sure, but just not what we were expecting from a place like Chambar that is rated so well. Will definitely find somewhere else for brunch next time.

We had brunch here for the first time. The service was very good. The menu was quite different. Our meals were o.k. There wasn't much on the menu that we would eat.

My wife and we’re seriously impressed with the brunch here. Incredible flavors and great staff. Recommend the Brochette de Porc 👍

Our trips to Vancouver always take us to Chambar . . . very good food, always exceptional service from the wait staff ( the rather 'snooty' greeter person today excepted . . . oh my, how important can I be?). This place is very good...More

This took us by surprise! We just called in for breakfast and it was superb. Quite different selection but very tasty. A busy place at 9 in the morning with a nice atmosphere, great service and lovely food. The Brochette de Porc was sensational

Never been before, but will return undoubtably. We thought before an Eagles concert this would be a convenient location for pre-concert din. Well, it was the most wonderful dining experience we have enjoyed because of everything you dine out for. Location, service, food, perfect. Asked...More

Around 7 o'clock on Friday evening was busy but we got a table for two in 10 min in first hall, where it was actually loud, but the music was not bad. The meals were not big but nourishing and very very tasty. Waiters were...More

Very interesting menu, beautiful surroundings and the server knew the menu very well and was very friendly. Food was excellent with generous portions. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients and size. The tables are too small for four persons, large plates...More

I came in for brunch with a friend for brunch yesterday. This is a beautiful restaurant, I love the atmosphere and the glass chandeliers are beautiful. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We each ordered the omelette, it was wonderful, light, flavourful, perfectly cooked....More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere

worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

There is no formal dress code however they work their butt off in putting quality food in the plate and offer professional service so my philosophy is to not 'underdress". I had a suit no tie.

We make our bread fresh daily inhouse, if you can let me know the date you were in, and describe what you had and I'll see if I can get you a recipe. The starter is 40 years old and not something we can share.
