I had the Tsunami(torched hamachi) from the raw bar. Clean, tangy flavours well executed. For my main dish I had Sablefish, which was good, but I have had better preparations of Sablefish. The service was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is noisy and hectic particularly where the table I was given was situated - which appeared to... More

This restaurant is consistently able to deliver a lovely atmosphere and top quality fresh seafood. I have been coming here for years every time that I am in Vancouver. Definitely a wonderful date night spot!

My friend took me there for a nice surprise. The bread and butter were amazing. We ordered fresh oysters and sushi as appetizers. The oysters were very creamy. The sever did a great job on explaining the regions of each oyster. The Tuna melts in mouth. I ordered the ribs as I had too much seafood for appetizers. The ribs... More

Glad we made reservations on a Tuesday night as it was completely full. Was able to get a parking spot right out front on the one way Hamilton St. Every dish was absolutely mouthwatering. The seafood tasting first plate for two was outstanding. The sable fish and scallops 2nd plates were exquisitely tempting to the palate and extraordinarily delicious and... More

From the moment you enter, you are treated like VIPs. The service is excellent and the food was a marvel. We had an amazing tiered appetizer to share and then the sable fish, which was spectacular. Just a beautiful evening overall.

I have been to the Blue Water Cafe a number of times and have always been impressed with the quality and freshness of the menu. I have experienced many items on the menu and can positively say you will not be disappointed with anything. This is a fine dining establishment which of course brings a fine dining price, but worth... More

Great atmosphere, excellent food, especially the sushi. Best advice is sit at the bar, order a signature negroni and people watch. 10 out of 10....

It is a great restaurant. We had the seafood platter and the special fish dish of the day with some nice white wine. Fish was up there with the best. We also ordered some good cocktails. The bartenders know what they're doing. The only thing is that everything is pricey.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
