So many famous people dine here, it is UNREAL. There were several celebrities in the dining room the day we ate at the Raw Bar...loved it! Won't say who, but I have a feeling that this place gets all of the guests from The Opus Hotel... Service was amazing, however I do have one note: My experience did include expensive... More

Had dinner at the sushi bar and enjoyed dishes from the full menu, along with excellent service. Superb oysters (order three different ones, plus another three because they were so good). two pieces of nigiri sushi, the "Tsunami" -- amazing hamachi dish, the sea urchin and fennel velouté, and a terrific side dish with abalone mushrooms and cippolini. The choices... More

We have dined at hundreds of great restaurants. Blue Water stands near the top. The selection of dishes is extensive and each is unique. It will take you a good twenty minutes to read through it all and orchestrate your experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and warmly welcoming. A great wine and liquors list and some of the best... More

Didnt remember that the menu was half sushi - that suited my date just fine - he had Toro and a prawn roll bringing his dish to the $40 mark, i had the Sable fish - also $40. mine had a nice sweet glaze to the surface, moist and flaky fish cooked just right in a light broth with quinoa,... More

Located at the corner of Hamilton and Helmcken you will find the Blue Water Cafe, please keep in mind this is where you will find their valet. There's certainly street parking available or meter parking however if you are going for the full experience...give the valet a job and valet your car! (the Valet was a hardworking and kind individual... More

A very classy but warm and friendly atmosphere without the pretentiousness of many higher end establishments. Great food but pricey. Save this one for special occasions. More residential area than downtown. Great for a nice stroll after your meal.

Dined at Blue Water Cafe with a group and everything about that evening was fabulous. Service was great from the start to the finish. As an appetizer we had the seafood tower and I have had these at many other restaurants and this one was the best by far. Fresh and balanced with a variety of items. Including a couple... More

As part of a small reunion we all went to Vancouver for the day, doing the typical tourist stuff in Vancouver. After a very long day, our last stop was a nice seafood dinner in Yaletown. The Blue Water Cafe had no problem handling a group of 14 people with reservations and was well prepared for us, even when we... More

This has to be one of the best seafood restaurants that I have had to pleasure to dine in, the menu was original and quite extensive, the wine list has something for every budget. Bookings are essential.

This place is a must visit when visiting Vancouver's Yaletown district. It is a higher priced restaurant, so be aware and either make it a splurge night or just stop by for a drink at the bar to get the experience. The great bar and floor staff make it a friendly and high class. The warm wood decor is inviting... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
