From the greeting at the door, through a thoughtful tour of food & wine menus, during the sumptuous meal till the very end; we we're treated like gold. Both food & service we're sure-footed and above reproach, perfect for our 'special' guests.

Had not been in a number of years and could not remember why? Always amazing people lot guide you, creative edge to traditional cuisine, and fine wine list to go with everything on the menu. There is also the every changing NW Coast Art!

I last visited Bishop's in 2000 when I was on holiday in Vancouver and previous to that when I lived in Vancouver in the early 1990s. The standards at this restaurant have stood the test of time. The food is brilliant, the service is second to none and the ambience is fantastic. The attention to detail and the creativity of... More

Bishop's is supposed to be one of Vancouver's best restaurants but I was completely underwhelmed. I've lived in Vancouver for 5 years, never been to Bishop's so when friends (2 couples) from London, UK visited Vancouver, I decided to take them to Bishop's to show them what Vancouver has to offer. They paid for me, I was disappointed with my... More

We are semi sort of kind of regulars at Bishops. With the ever changing seasonal menu and the always plentiful specials you can't help but to have a great meal. There are no throwaways options on the menu. Each one is amazingly full of taste and creatively. Even the amuse bouche is great. Wine list is reasonable with some good... More

The service is superb from start to the end. The food is very good, however not the best in Vancouver. Great for special occasions.

We were greeted at the door by Mr Bishop. This restaurant exudes class. Bishop's has been on the Vancouver restaurant scene for over 30 years and continues to flourish. The mains were perfect. The same servers continue to work there and they know how to provide excellent service. This is a must do in Van.

2 visits this summer. Initially slightly 'thrown' by the 'new' faces front of house - but within minutes feeling as welcomed and comfortable as ever. Superlative service and sensational food. I know nowhere I'd rather be.

Our meal at Bishops was close to perfection. All of the dishes were refined and well conceived. Seasoning was perfect without any overpowering tastes. You can tell that the Chef, who is Portuguese, places a great deal of thought and time into the composition of each dish. If in season and on the menu highly recommend the chanterelle mushroom ravioli.... More

Loved the art, loved the service, loved the food. Very good for the foodie visitor to Vancouver (me) as all ingredients are local and staff is extremely knowledgeable. Very nice feel to the dining room. We'd be regulars I imagine if we lived in this beautiful city.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
