Rosita C. Richmond, BC 2576 12/25/2020 It was our first time coming here, recommended by a friend. The restaurant observed social distancing and keeps a register book for customers to sign in. My friend ordered their fish pakora for an appetizer and Eggplant Dosa while...I ordered their curried goat. My friend's dosa was served long and I would have liked it too but they made the dosa crepe a little bit on the salty side. So I guessed you will have to dip it in their tomato sauce. The fish pakora was good and crispy served with the tamarind sauce. As for my order, I just loved it. There was no smell of the goat and no taste of gaminess. There were enough lean meat, so happy I didn't see any fat on these chunks of meat or it would have put me off. I ordered the not too spicy and not too hot. It was so good, the goat meat came with a bowl of fluffy basmati rice, a piece of naan, and some papadams. I enjoyed all of it but couldn't finish as I had ordered some more papadam. My advise is just be contend with whatever came with the order. Too many papadam was too much. The additional order of the papadam cost $2.00 for 3 papadams. Drinking a glass of sweet lassi, made me full too early so I couldn't finish my order but was so happy to take the rest home. The guy serving us was nice and kind. He saw a piece of hair on my rice which I didn't see and without me asking, he changed it for me and gave me a full one to take home. That was very nice. My friend informed me that her husband likes goat meat too. So I convinced her to take out an order for him. She informed me later on that her husband enjoyed eating the curried goat. Very well and good!!! I'd say, I would like to come back here again when I have a craving for curry goat.More

My first dosa was a great experience

I don't eat much Indian food, but I have always liked it. A friend introduced me to Dosa Corner last weekend. It is a small family run business in an industrial area of South Vancouver. It appeared to be closed but I was surprised to...see it fully occupied on a Sunday evening. The service was excellent. Food quality excellent. The meal and liquor prices are very reasonable. When my Lamb marsala dosa arrived, it overwhelmed me with it's size. My wife had half of hers and doggie bagged her soup and half her dosa. I managed to eat everything with a cold beer and still had room for a shared dessert. The food was tasty and fresh. We will return.More

Good quality and reasonable price

First time here. Highly recommended by friends to try. Run by family members and service is great. Food quality high and price is very reasonable.

Very Nice food!

The place looks old and small from outside but the looks does not represent the value this place has! The food is really tasty and was served really hot and fresh. We will surely come back.

Average customer service

I ordered a takeout today. Among several dishes, I ordered 2 items of the chicken 65, one for my toddler son and one for my friend's. I dropped off his items first (his chicken 65) and later that night I found that there was no...2nd box. I called them up to let them know of this, they stated that they had packed both the orders in a single large box. Although my friend thought it was not a large box, it was not a great deal for me, as I know orders can be mixed up especially and a busy Saturday evening. Further, I have visited them several times and the food has always been good. However, the reason I wanted to leave a review was because of the conversation below! I explained the problem and suggested that in future they check with the customer if it is OK with packing similar items in a single box (as they could well, like in my situation, be ordering for others) or at least, let them know beforehand that they have packed similar items in a single box. I was informed that they would not do this and it is the customer's responsibility that if they are ordering multiple items, to check how they are packed and specify that items should be packed in separate boxes!More

Small but worth with tasty food.

I was on a 4 day visit to Vancouver. Searched for a good South Indian restaurant ended up in Dosa Corner. A very small restaurant but tasty food on reasonable price. Not sure how the parking availability on day time. My both visits are in...evenings and got a parking. The staff are very polite. So good...

Just came back from lunch with friends and four kids. Very accommodating for a group of 7. The food was so good! The butter chicken was flavorful, the cheese dosa was great (good for kids) and the lamb briyani was equally as good. You can’t...go wrong with anything you order here. I’ll definitely eat here again next time I’m in Vancouver.More

Very authentic and busy spot

This place has been on my list to try ever since my friend took me for my first dosa experience in Missisauga. It was the first and best ever had and I’ve been looking for the equivalent here in Vancouver ever since. I took my...mom here on a Sunday at around 1:30pm and even then there was a line up so we knew it was a good sign. It’s a small place and we waited around 20 minutes. We ordered the Paneer masala dosa and the veg biriyani. The dosas were a generous portion and we shared one and boxed up the biryani after we sampled it of course. Both were hot and fresh. The dosa wasn’t as tasty as I had hoped but it was still very good. My mom who doesn’t like a lot of spice really enjoyed it. I will definitely come back and try some of the other varieties. The menu has a lot of choices and good variety for vegetarians. I’m still on the hunt for the best dosa in Vancouver and perhaps it is the Dosa Corner but I’ll need to try another one next time.More
