After enjoying dinner at a nearby restaurant we decided that it would be nice to enjoy a "cold one" (or two) to wait out the evening rush our traffic. We tried phoning Original Joe's but received no response to our phone calls. Somewhat confused we phoned the Original Joe's on No 5 Road in Richmond and we were assured that... More

Good value with efficient staff. Location is central and has a view of the downtown. Lots of tv's to catch the game.

We had a section of the restaurant reserved. It all went smoothly. The waitress did a good job. We stayed 4 pm to 930 pm on a Friday evening. I was happy overall.

Recently had a 6 night stay at the adjoining hotel on Robson Street in Vancouver. We arrived on a busy Friday evening and were surprised at how quickly we were seated. An interesting menu listing and our choices followed very quickly after ordering. The meal was well presented and some choices were in the "oversize" portion area. Chips came with... More

Good enough meal. Not the best burgers or poutine. I did not enjoy the pacific rim soup. But it was attached to our hotel and left us full.

Visited this restaurant when in Vancouver for business. The servers were extremely nice and the atmosphere was great. However, the food just didn't cut it. I ordered the turkey wrap with garlic mash potatoes and Caesar salad. The salad was pretty much lettuce with a tiny bit of dressing on it. The mash potatoes were dry. I used the gravy... More

Went here with some friend for beers and nachos. The nachos we pretty big and a decent size. Tasted really good too. They also have my favourite beer currently, Parallel 49 Salty Scot, in the bottle. The service is super fast and the servers there are very welcoming and professional. They also have a pool table in the corner for... More

We visited this with family on our first night in Vancouver. It was a nice place and for a Sunday had specials. It does have children's menu's, but we had to inquire about them. There is a good variety on the menu from fish dinner's to burgers to salads. Being our first night we had to try poutine which was... More

We were there for our lunch break. 35 minutes in and still no food. How long does it take to cook a burger? Friendly staff though. Won't be back during business hours. I would have understood if the restaurant was busy. Perhaps this explains why they weren't busy.

Didn't eat here so can't speak to that, but you get a decent glass of wine for 4$ on the happy hour menu. I also had a baileys and coffee that was also decent (no whip cream :( but was ok. What makes me review this place was the amazing service we had by a darling young lady with rose... More

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
