This is a restaurant with several locations. Not sure how the others stack up but this one had tasty food, well cooked, with very good presentation. Waiter Matin gave us some good tips and helped us gauge how much food we would need. Drinks were...More

We walked a few hours in Stanley Park and it was past lunch time, about 1:30. A long way from our hotel's neighborhood, we picked Banana Leaf because we were hungry and found ourselves standing in front of it and it looked nicer than the...More

Was staying at Times Square suites nearby and came twice. Enjoyed the food on both occasions. Nice food and overall experience was good. Managed dessert as well which we also enjoyed.

We tried the 7 course menu and it was fabulous. They didn’t have the banana panacotta so made us banana fritters instead - they were scrumptious. Staff were excellent too, so friendly

Got the last empty table at 6.30pm. Decided on the 7 course tasting menu (23$) as we have not eaten Malaysian very often and were not certain what to order. All seven courses were very different, well cooked, very tasty and of of a sensible...More

I was recommended to visit the Banana Leaf so I wasn't expecting to see so many of them around Vancouver - a total franchise. The restaurant was totally under-staffed and the staff that was there definitely had an attitude. Once I made it clear that...More

We have been very lucky to have enjoyed Malaysian/Indonesian food in many places including the source countries and we sometimes feel apprehensive that a new restaurant might try to Westernise the dishes. Any such fear at this restaurant was quickly allayed. The beef rendang was...More
